You don't have to reel your line in if you find a dry spot. Just push down on the thumb stick and the line retracts. Save time

Thanks for the tips. I was befuddled trying to play on expert mode. It's actually way easier than I thought, and the amount of XP/Credits are soooo much better than normal. I'm having a much more immersive experience without the arrow indicators and arcade colored fish.

If you flick the arm with the rod when the fish jumps you can stun it and get a green line so you can reel in..

Yeah I think you have to strike the rod in the opposite direction of travel for the best results.

@@SkellyVR9 They jump out of the water on their own when they are trying to get free from the line. I don't think you can make them, if so I'm not aware of it.

It shouldn't take long to get the rods and reels. After that level up until you get to salt water before spending on boats and such.

lol are you feeling it backwards? It’s funny that you can reel it either way on this game. I feel like it confuses people if they were to try fishing in real life. Hopefully they come out with a more realistic be fishing game some day.

You have separate license levels per region/DLC, you have to level up each one on its own.

The time is much greater on expert .. you can likely level up better at a lower level.

Great video, thanks. My problem is I have to reel in at super fast speed, so fast that I almost put my shoulder out, the line was constantly blue and mostly I lost my fish. This was NORMAL mode.

Ok but I’m easy mode it tells you when you have to hold the pole left right up or down. I caught a few fish on expert, but there were times when the line broke. So what do you do to make sure line don’t break. I tried catching a large mouth, but kept breaking line, not because of line color, I understand that part, but does direction come into play? Or is is just a weak line?

Wow, ok. So I played for one hour straight. Everytime I caught a big fish I did the techniigue you said. But in the middle of the fight, there’s a time where he pulls hard and the line is red. So I let go to let him take it abs he jumps off the line every time! When you first catch and let him run it’s fine, but the 2nd big run, he breaks Everytime. Is it the rod and reel? Or am I supposed to be doing something when he takes that big red line run?? Any tips would be appreciated. I was using the right bait and bob. Freshwater stage 6 I think. I am using a c rod and reel.

This is encouraging. I just got the game and it is fun. Not the most exciting game but I do like that it does educate on fishing techniques. I want to learn how to really fish. I can catch fish but I want to know how to slay them. This is a fun game. Thank you for showing this technique and encouraging us to switch the mode. Great video

Just by the colors. If you find you're not having any luck with expert, don't get frustrated, switch back for a while, then return to expert later.
