Real VS Fake | Dan Kubin Sidewinder v3r VS poseidon v7

Hello Everyone!!
In todays video i am going to do something different.
I am going to compare an original dan kubin V3R to a poseidon v7 which is a chinese knock off version of a dan kubin machine.

Have you tried to adjust the amateur bar screw? Sounds like I just recently bought the knock version if the V7R which the clone is just V7 and I haven’t got it yet but I’ll be making a video with it maybe u can check those out too

would you recommend the poseidon over something like the ex-2 for a first machine? i want something with give that i can learn traditional bold work with. thanks!

Yes i would. Because this machine is a bit more versitile. But the ex 2 is also a great machine. Now this machine doesnt have so much give, it is a verry strong machine. So i would recoment you give it a go on some fake skin or maybe yourself first. And start slow. Because even at low voltages this machine will push a 11rl easy

Right on. That's mostly what I want it for anyway. Big groupings quickly. I've had inkflow issues with a lot of the cartridges I've used in the past year. And the ones I don't often don't stay sharp long. Aside from that the carts just don't work well for fast bold lines like standard. So I've become frustrated and decided to switch back . I'll try flipping the needle. Haven't tried that yet. Thanks so much brother!

Any help would be appreciated. And just for context, I'm actually well versed in machines, tattooed nearly 20 years, and built machines for a while. Just trying to find something affordable that lines like a coil. And doesn't give me tendinitis. 😂

Uhm this could be a nummerous of things… maybe the easiest thing to try is to put your needle in upside down. I think dan kubin gave that advice in one of his videos as well. Or you know on a coil how duty cicle works? If you have a coil machine that has a duty cicle of 65% for example it will spit like crazy too.. maybe if you can translate that tuning to your v7 it might fix the problem. Otherwise send me a video of the machine running on my IG. I might be able to help you out

Nope he no longer recommends that open the eyeloop if the needle just slightly and point your rubber bands slightly up

Dk's suck.. save tour money and buy quality shit that you can gwg fixed years later easily , buy spare parts so you have them ect.. too much cake for that shit tho period

Bro a have a DK v4 since 2017 and after all the years still works like first day. Best machine a have for fast big lines. It saved me at least 500 hours of work.

Dude. I don't know how to keep mine from spitting everywhere with standards. Mines not the posiedon one, but another, actually better v7 clone. I've also tried a lot of other sidewinder style rotaries. Same issue. rosaries.. tried bends, opening the loops. And all kinds of things to fix it. No luck. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Use tubes that are correct fitting tubes the drigebergs or the disposable ones offered by kingpin what I use

You can bend the needle correctly. Bending on the loop and at the needles base

Use tighter rubberbands.

Open up the needle hoop a lil bit to see if that will help so it isn’t so tight around your nipple that will allow it to move a lil bit
