I saw several fraudulent gurus in Varanasi. A red flag imho was a guru telling me, “You don’t need to meditate,” and asking for 10x the cost of puja (i.e. 420,000INR rather than 42,000INR for a Rudrabhisjek). A lot of fake gurus surround Vishwanath temple to prey on tourists. Gurus are not wandering the streets looking for disciples and begging for alms. Tour guides always bring people to false gurus. In my experience the real gurus and sadhaka were quiet and humble. You could easily walk by them and miss them.

A true guru is the one who never earn his savings using disciples opening big big ashrams and showing black magic to people earning luxurious life and later not even explaining or teaching or talking about self realization. It is full motivational speeking which I see and a guru who is an encyclopedia answering every questions without making the seekers experience the truth.

Just chant the name of the deity with devotion and request for their guidance to find a guru…when you attain siddhi in chanting the name of the deity and when you are ready, the universe will work in your favour and guide you towards the right guru

As everything is united for the absolute perspective, all ways lead to the same source… …In the end every form even that of the highest deity is still a very high “illusion” of the absolute… …a good example may be Sri Ramakrishna who even that he was an avatar and realized soul had to overcome his attraction to the impermanent form of the mother to realize the infinite formless nature of the mother… …in the end all forms are impermanent and we are all one! 🌎❤️🕉️ Blessed be! 🙌

You can't find a Guru. Do you think you can reach out to a Guru. Only Guru can reach out to you. Till then you should continue to worship the deity. Have an intense hunger to understand your true nature. Half heartedness will never find any guru. Even if they find it, you will label them as fraudulent gurus. Guru can test you in any form including the form of fraudulent gurus. You won't accept them at all tbh even if they are right infront of you. Maya will not allow it. So the entire discussion of how to find a Guru itself is loophole. The guru can even live luxuriously rejecting the normal idea of people how they perceive a Guru. They all do it purposefully only to test you. Research life of Guru Dattatreya. You will understand. This is one such example. They operate from infinity and here you all sit and judge with your Maya consciousness. They exactly do what you are avoiding the most bcoz they know who you are where you are stuck. They have the complete knowledge you don't even have to utter a word.

Praying is different, anyone can do prayer and worship. Specific mantra japa and some other procedures are not allowed without initiation.

He is saying about tantra sadhana not praying. Everybody prays and should pray. Sadhana is a spiritual practice in which there is a process involved in which there are rules to be followed. Tantra Sadhana is even more strict and heavy, therefore initiation is necessary.

@@angelestrella35 What I'm afraid about is their other "schemes". - In Sadhguru Sannidhi, The program is about "Making Sadhguru presence" in your home. Where 3 options are there, In ruppes 8k, 18k, 60k. - In Weight loss program, it's 26k ruppes for 1 month. - In Ishanga 7% program, you need to pledge 7% of your income to Sadhguru to create "Bond of Life" with him. I can go on and on but you got my point. What kind of programs are these?? Although I have completed IE course (Initiation i.e. 7th step is left) but I'm continuously postponing the date. I'm not able to fully trust. Such programs look more like money mindedness than anything else. Do clarify me if you know something that I don't Or if you can explain these things.

@@theeagle906 Yes. In the seventh step. A particular date and time is fixed for you to get initiated into the Shambhavi mahamudra kriya. "Kriya" means internal action. They teach you the method, thereafter Sadhguru himself transmits his energy (initiation) . While initiation, it's a different feeling which cannot be expressed in words. Putting it into words will be injustice to what is being given. Thereafter, u are required to do the practice everyday for 21 mins of your day . The practice brings about miraculous changes, and also changes your experience and way of perceiving life. The initiation by Sadhguru, ignites your life energies( Kundalini) which leads you to experience something beyond body and mind.

A Guru must be Self-realised.... And only a self realized person knows what he is doing. Becoz we are not self realized and have a duelistic perspective, we will keep judging people based on what we see and what we hear or have heard. Hence we cannot tell who is a true guru..... untill we really keep trying and find one.
