I tested my sister's knowledge of the Sonic lore by giving her a mix of real and fake Sonic characters and seeing if she could tell which one's were real or fake. This video features Sonic OCs made by fans that were submitted to me in a contest! Thanks everyone for the help!

When it comes to defending Saffron she was waiting for Charmy coming to age and Charmy was a teenager in the early comics, not to mention she was made by Ken Penders who often made characters just to ship with main characters...he wasn't a great writer.

You know, I honestly think this kind of challenge is more interesting to play at home than the Pokemon version. Since there's a LOT of weird characters from the comics/cartoons.... Hell, I got a few of these wrong. Saffron the Bee. I was SURE that was an OC.... Nope, it was all too real. The Merhog was another one that tripped me up. My gut told me it was real.... But, I then was like "nah, it's fake".... And alas, I should have went with my gut feeling. The funniest thing too is. You could totally do a sequel to this. Since there are more ludicrous characters you could pull from. (I won't say any here, since if you ever DO another one of these. It would kind of give away which ones are real.)

So, some things to note, in case no one else has: 1.) Scourge, the "green Sonic"; his "lazy" design was kind of on purpose. He basically comes from an alternate universe where the good guys are bad guys and vice-versa. Which, yes, means there's a good version of Robotnik there, too. 2.) In the Archie comics, Charmy was a teenager, as opposed to the six years old he is in the games. 3.) Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was a crazy frickin' show. Like Sonic Boom, it was a straight-up comedy. Unlike Boom, the humor of which is dry and even self-referential, AoStH was more inspired by Looney Tunes and especially Tex Avery.
