Our winter has been even more tame and strange over in eastern Mass. I remember regular power outages, school snow days and at least a couple powerful storms per season growing up. It's a shame, but I truly hope we have another shift in weather coming for the years ahead.

***Your closing words reminded me of an old 1970's song :"Those were the days my friend, I wished they'd never end. We'd sing and dance forever and a day..."~by Melony Yes, you have created an enviable life and lifestyle, loves and friends! Been watching a few years now. Keep them coming. Love your relaxing voice and Alli's herbs and natural approach. I am a retired English teacher who spent 10 years in China's Himalayas. Love you guys, Anna/The LlamaMomma
@dod23047 ай бұрын
And Melanie's version was a cover but she didn't record it until 2002. Her voice was definitely perfect for that song. Sadly, Melanie Safka passed just a few weeks ago in January. She sang so many tunes I loved, including "Brand New Key", "Candles in the Rain", "Look what They've done to my Song", "Beautiful People" and more. In 1969, Mary Hopkin was the first singer of this old Russian folk tune with English lyrics by Gene Raskin. The melody definitely sounds Russian to me.

What you've got there is a beautiful New England snowstorm - not a blizzard. According to the National Weather Service, to be a blizzard, there must be 1) sustained winds of 35 mph or greater; 2) visibility under a quarter mile; and 3) these conditions continue for at least 3 consecutive hours. As a regular viewer from Buffalo, NY, (where we've had a few actual blizzards) I just had to mention it. I really enjoy your videos.

Hope you got your plow ready looks like we are getting another snow storm on Tuesday.

I’m in 🇨🇦, in Kingston, Ontario. We got barely any snow this year 😢 it’s definitely a huge concern when you think about replenishing our fresh water sources and wetlands 😔 The wood frogs are suffering too as their snow cover (which provides vital insulation) has just melted due to the unprecedented thaw that’s happening…. it’s gonna be a hard year without lots of snow. It truly sucks ❄️. I’m hoping we get snow & lots of it in February!

Where you and Allie (sp?) are located is gorgeous countryside. Were in central Oklahoma, in the country dealing with similar temperatures. Nothing is consistent. We go from -10 to 68 degrees this winter. We usually will have temperatures in the mid to low 20's with wind chills making it feel colder, and some snow 3 to 6 inches. The snow stays for several days, and the tempertures stay low for at least 4 maybe 5 weeks. We've been all over the place with temperatures. Needless to say with this crazy weather you can't get comfortable. We've had to keep both winter, and summer clothes/gear available. Love your video's, keep on keeping on😊

I’m located in Southern Ontario. I wager we’re now getting winters similar to what places 200-300km south of us used to get 20 years ago. I’m only 35 years old but it was normal for our snowmobile trails to be open by mid December all the way through to March most winters from the lake effect snow off the Great Lakes. I don’t know the last time the trails have been open for more than a couple of weeks per winter the last 10 years…

I have skates and snow shoes and our winters have been so warm I can’t do any of the things I love during this time of year. It was 56° here for 3 days last week and I saw someone’s tulips in their yard already coming up. That used to not happen around here until April. I’m not a fan of these warm winters, it’s not why I live here.
