I love my F16s!!! Years ago, when I upgraded my Bont Hybrid Catbons from nylon plates to the F16s, I weighed them before and after (without wheels, of course). It was almost identical!

Great video very informative. How do these compare to laser plates? Weight and durability
@rollerskateuniverse676310 ай бұрын
Much lighter,lower and especially the trucks, much more durable than the lasers

I got these a month ago and they are so light and low, but the click-adjustment washer (with the "X" cutout) eats into the threads on the kingpin, they should use plastic/teflon for this part in my opinion. The kingpin could also use a general redesign because i hear other commenters are breaking their kingpins!

Thank you so much for this review. I was considering getting this plate but the Arius Platinum plate snatched my heart ever since putting them on my current skates. Do you prefer this Atom Falcon plate, the Arius, or the avenger magnesium for tight curves and jam skating?

@rawguy3530 for jamskating i prefer the sure-grip powertrac, but overall freeskating, I LOVE the sure-grip avenger.. This plate, the falcon strikes a good balance of versatility between both of those plates

Dude! You’ve always got the info. Thank you! Also loved seeing you in action, dope! I’ve been looking at either the Pilot Falcon or the Reactor Pro. I’ve only skated on a 10 degree kingpin angle. Mostly dance and rhythm skate. Any suggestions?

10 works great, but 15 can be better if you plan on doing deeper edges!

@@rollerskateuniverse6763 thanks for info! Appreciate it! I’m looking the the Roll Line Giotto as well since it is in my price range and seems to be a fan favorite. Between the three plates, which do you think would be best for rhythm and dance skating?

Currently have the Riedell 120s. I do freestyle, dance, rhythm, and getting into spins. Currently have a powerdyne fuse plate, & it sucks. Would you recommend this plate as an upgrade and to help with performance?

Nice video thank you for making it! These were suggested over the Prolines by my local proshop. Looked like you had jamplugs in and not running the NTS's am I right?

Hi. I wanna get this plate for at set of Riedell 336 dance set up. How important is the adjustable pivot pin on the trucks? I've been skating a year, but this skate is gonna last me a long time. Also do you know what size plate I should get for a women's size 9.5? Thanks
@rollerskateuniverse6763 Жыл бұрын
It's not really much of an important feature, for a women's 9.5 I'd say somewhere around 6.5
@puscifervify Жыл бұрын
@@rollerskateuniverse6763 Thank you. What I figured it would be a size 6.75. If the size no. on the Falcon equals the wheelbase in inches, that is what my curent wheelbase is 6.75 on my Moxi Lolly. It's the stock PowerDyne Thrust plate. Do you think it would benefit my progress with 0.5 cm smaller wheelbase? I don't know if you can answer that😆 This custom build is just so expensive that I have to do my research.
@rollerskateuniverse6763 Жыл бұрын
@puscifervify it can have different effects for skaters. What works for some doesn't work for others For a while I was running 625 on a men's 10. Worked great for some things, but somewhat badly for others

Good clip however falcon pilots chart says 438gram for one 7 plate . Avenger/avanti magnesium are about 238grams .

Avenger mag baseplates with no trucks or cushions would be around 300... over 400 assembled. I have both on hand

Thanks good to know . Do you prefer falcon to avant /avenger ? If you do why ? Many thanks
@rollerskateuniverse67636 ай бұрын
@MrGirodog as of right now, I'm exclusively running avenger mags. I have 3 sets. Sizes 3, 4, and 5. (160mm, 170mm, and 180mm wheelbases) I run them all on size 10s. They sit up higher and they're a little heavier than you'd think, but the maneuverability is unmatched by anything else on the market and replacement parts are cheap, durable, accessible, and plentiful.
@MrGirodog6 ай бұрын
I tried those but when had them fitted I forgot to take into account the very long wheel base . The rear axel was hanging off the back of the heel . Felt like I was on skis. Didn’t like that . Lost my agility imo . Good for cruising down the street though I guess .
@rollerskateuniverse67636 ай бұрын
@MrGirodog the axles sit almost flush with the rear end of the plate on the Avengers, as they're recommended to run forward mounted. What I did to help this, is to downsize by 1 size and push them forward so the front end of the plate is about 1/2" from the toe of the boot
