I don't think I've ever seen a political candidate lay out their plan in such a straight forward manner.
@robreiken8 жыл бұрын
thejobloshow Well then you obviously didn't see political candidate Ron Paul who kicked ass to win the straw poles while the Mainstream lied about it all, or how about JFK. & because he layed out his plan in such a straight forward manner, he got a bullet to the head because of it. Also Ross Perot also layed out his plan & if he continued with his campaign, well then the government were going to kill his 2 daughters , that's why he got out. Government only allows corruption to the core sellout leaders , that's why honest candidates are not allowed in.

Imagine if the electoral college was abolished a little before the 1992 election. How many more people would have gotten out to vote? Perot could have won by at least 38% of the popular vote, if he didn't take a break from campaigning and had campaigned more in the swing states. Several things would happen: NAFTA would not be signed, the Glass-Steagall act would not be repealed, Americans would be able to vote directly on issues via the edemocracy, we would have single-payer healthcare, and the military would not be sent to invade sovereign nations for resources! He would have probably been the next FDR with a bit more of added fiscal conservatism.

Now, 20 years later, other countries like China (Perot warned against NAFTA, constant wars, but both parties supported Nafta, so both parties are guilty of so many wicked and evil things) Trump has a very bad history that the majority of Americans don't care to expose, as well as the liberal Clinton, Obama supporters. Now everyone is vilifying Bush and now liberals are embracing Bush, what a silly dangerous country. Perot was great because he gave specifics with charts and facts. More debates need that instead of the typical generalized rhetoric. For you more left slanted folks who dont want to listen to his specifics, did you not get his comment about trickle down economics and the disparity in wealth? That supports your ideals. Listen and pay attention to the whole thing. Businessmen are not all greed and hate like you believe.
@stockjonebills9 жыл бұрын
DrStrangel0ve2 Yeah but the problem is that a lot of millennials and usually liberals just assume that all business people or companies have nothing but evil intentions which is a pretty juvenile position. Employment comes from employers and employers are business owners. Government should not be looked upon to be the world's employer. Taxing business especially small business to death is bad news for the economy. Perot would also agree with that, but he also understood the problem with laissez fair economics. At the same time he said we need to cut government spending. He does not fit perfectly in the Democrat or Republican mold and that's exactly what we need.
@jwgmail9 жыл бұрын
+stockjonebills I am very liberal and I love Perot's ideas. I'm not trying to start a fight, but you should watch how you say things. In your statement "usually liberals just assume ... which is a pretty juvenile position." Is, by its own definition (generalization / assumption), a pretty juvenile position. If it's not clear, it's because you are generalizing and making assumptions about liberals. I believe liberals are very appreciative of small/mid sized business owners, which is why the rhetoric tends to use the world "corporations," which are shareholder owned legal entities. I would argue that the biggest problem today is the use of religion (by rich republicans) to get poor people to vote against their own self-interest. So many poor people vote on one or two fucking issues: abortion / gay rights. If people voted in their own (generally financial) self-interest, exclusive of those issues, the republican party would not have a chance.
@stockjonebills9 жыл бұрын
You are right. Saying things like "usually liberals just assume" is being a bit biased. The reason I said that, is that from my experience, a lot of people these days that lean to the left tend to scrutinize anyone who is a CEO or a business person with the evil corporation connotation. Perot wasn't just a small business owner as you try and differentiate from a corporation. He was the owner and CEO of a very large corporation.
@jwgmail9 жыл бұрын
+stockjonebills It's of course true (liberals). Corporations, like armies, like any group of people, do things that a single individual would never do (I don't remember which philosopher said that), but it's too simple to just say they're the reason for all the world's ills. I am pretty far left, and it annoys the hell out of me when I see leftist rhetoric that shows clearly that they haven't even tried to see the other perspective. We expect it from the Right and say "we're better than them" but are often just as ignorant, spouting the party's line. It just sucks because it's so hard to get ANY unbiased info. I wish we'd have put Perot in just to see what would have happened. The only one to say sacrifice now, reap later... of course that's too honest to get you elected. Why can't we reap without sowing? We're America dammit! : (

I’m a staunch social democrat (progressive). I would of voted Perot. When he was asked if the government should step in to help fund poor families healthcare costs not only did he say yes he also said that he supported a single payer system. Good god what a mistake the previous generation did for not voting for him. Truly was the people’s voice.

Trump is a little bit like him. Not entirely, but Trump was apart of his reform party for some years and even ran under it for president in 2000. Perot is definitely more professional, Trump is more eccentric. Both have their pros and cons
@Wadiyatalkinabeet_ Жыл бұрын
@wizardwaluigi8623 Absolutely he shook the entire political system for good or bad and agreed, his 2000 run was a bit of stunt but still he was apart of Perot’s reform party. He was most similar to Perot when it came to trade. They both hold different liberal and conservative social and economic views, but I’d say they’re similar. The funny thing is, I was born in 2003 I wasn’t even alive in 2000 lmao. Just love history and politics. My parents born in the 60s didn’t even know Trump ran 2000.

I think Trump is going to release his full blown master plan when he gets the nomination. He's just hiding it so his competition (the other nominees) don't cookie-cut his plans or them finding a weak spot for them to attack him. My two cents though. Just basically tin-foil hat bullshit. Lol.

A 2016-updated Perot of same age and health as in this video would win a Clinton-Perot-Trump three-way. This program is quite exactly what the US independent- and swing-voters are demanding right now. If Sanders somehow manages to topple Clinton I believe he will win the election over any GOP candidates, just owing to the sheer fact he's the sole candidate who vowes to rebuild the middle class.

A solid plan ngl. A Perot presidency could have been a good one, but let's be real, if he did win, he's problem would be two parties who will not answer to him, unless he leans in either of them. That or he rolls 100 in persuasion or has all the charisma perks from Fall Out New Vegas
