Fun fact: Without Kaigaku in the story, the series would’ve been SOO different. (Kind of long explanation) 👇 Without Kaigaku, Gyomei wouldn’t have been a Hashira. Meaning that Kanae, Shinobu, and Kanao would all not be in the story since Gyomei saved them. Also if Flashbacks were really a way to save characters from death, then Zenitsu would’ve died in Mount Natagumo when he was fighting the brother spider demon. I think Zenitsu was more determined when he thought of Kaigaku in that moment and wanted to be like him, so he had the will to survive I guess. NEXT Going off Zenitsu not existing, Daki, Gyutaro, Hantengu, Akaza, Douma, Kokushibo, and Muzan would’ve ALL survived. Since without Zenitsu they wouldn’t have been able to kill Daki. Meaning that they couldn’t kill Gyutaro either. So Tengen, his wives, Inosuke, and Tanjiro would’ve eventually died. (Probably from blood loss or the poison) Plus even if they survived Entertainment District, Tanjiro and Mitsuri and the Sword smiths in the Swordsmith village would’ve all been killed since Tanjiro used Thunder Breatjing to catch up to Hantengu. Without that boost of speed, he couldn’t catch up to him. Meaning he gets away while Zohakuten kills Mitsuri. PLUS Akaza would’ve lived because (if Zenitsu died in mount natagumo) Tanjiro would’ve been dead. Also Giyuu would’ve died if he fought Akaza alone. Douma would’ve survived because nobody would’ve fought him. (Even if Inosuke lived in the Entertainment District arc he would’ve still died.) And Kokushibo would’ve survived because there wouldn’t be Gyomei. Also speaking of Gyomei, Genya trained with him. Therefore since Gyomei is still in the temple with the orphans, Genya wouldn’t have had extra training. So he would’ve probably died even easier while fighting Kokushibo. (He would die either way without Gyomei though.) Along with Sanemi and Muichiro also dying. And since Mitsuri died already in the Swordsmith Village Arc, Obanai would be the last Hashira standing. But would most likely die to Nakime. If not her, then from Muzan. So, what did we learn today? :D 1. I know way too much. 2. I love Kaigaku too much. 3. Kaigaku IS important. 4. I need help.
