Since this game is based on Japan, it's not surprising that these kids voluntarily clean the school. In japanese schools there are no janitors, it's the students and the teachers that keep the school clean. After every school day there's a rotating team of a couple students per class that stays behind to do cleaning duties. Their task is to clean the blackboard, classroom floor, any dirty spots, as well as designated sections of the rest of the school building.

At the schools I was an ALT for, the teachers pitched in as well, including me. It was a lot of fun, and the kids seemed to enjoy cleaning time!

As a custodian, I just wish they'd pick up their books, pencils, and other large objects at the end of the day. It's like I have to go over the floor twice: once for large objects, and again for the actual cleaning (mopping or vacuuming depending on floor). Just my irritated opinion. I'm fine with actually cleaning, but I hate picking up after them, it takes away from valuable cleaning time.

Given the title and RCE I am reminded of one of my professors. I study aeronautical mechanical engineering, and one day he was telling us how we can't replace a single screw without checking the manual for how much torque we need to apply. He then commented that we can make the inspectors think we use the manual by dirtying and roughing it a bit, that inspectors usually are fooled by this, but was adamant we shouldn't because that was illegal.
