The Swedish (iirc) government once hired some mathematicians to develop the most efficient shape for a roundabout to be in the midst of a grid-based city, and the result of that was a perfect combination between a square and a circle known as a "squircle" (it has the equation x^4 + y^4 = 1), so there's actually some precedent behind calling it a squareabout

I think it needs (in addition to undo and erase), vector drawing. So you'd be able to adjust the curves to be more smooth or more tight, and they'd be proper curves, not wonky hand drawn zig-zaggy things that artificially reduce your efficiency with the same design. Also I think if you really want to do it well, you'd probably design it first in something else (like a vector drawing program), so you can slip in bridges you didn't think about at first and generally not lose focus with what you were thinking. That last part is helpful for lots of things, like writing an outline or overview before writing something out, or doing a sketch before a drawing, or a storyboard before an animation.

You could also be able to delete a specific piece of road, in case you are WAY at the end of it and just then realized that you goofed something right at the start
@Kyouske_422 жыл бұрын
I think the absence of vector drawing is intentional as it adds to the things you have to learn and master (its still a game). This would definitely be a bit like cheating because I believe the cars slow down on tighter radii, hence a vector drawn perfectly sized one would kinda defeat it's purpose.

Double roundabout designs can actually be really useful, you just did not utilize it to its full potential: Segregate the roundabouts! For example have blue and orange cars use only the outer ring and all others the inner ring (just exemplary colours, you should decide by traffic amount how to balance). This way you only need half as many roundabout exits and you have effectively cut traffic on each ring in half.

Firstly keep in mind that a good majority of americans are not familiar with normal roundabouts. Now keep in mind this roundaboutis all sorts of screwed. Also keep in mind the slang term "masshole", usually in reference to driving. Literally there is a sign indicating its a "dangerous intersection".
