How are those survivors making dimensional lumber out of trees without a sawmill? Wouldnt it be easier to find an abandoned hardware store? It would even be easier to demolish existing houses and take the lumber from inside the walls than to make new lumber out of standing trees.

Survivors building a wooden tower taller than surrounding two story suburban homes? Wouldnt it be easier to build it on top of a flat roofed building like HQ for maximum height?

What if the HQ has a sawmill and a blacksmith forge already in there? And tools? But not enough to use in other locations? Also, they could build a tower on top of a house, but maybe they don't know the state of the buildings or materials after the apocalypse struck so it'd be easier just to build your own tower with your own engineering skills than to run assessments of the stability of the other structures to see if they're sturdy enough for your watchtower... Also, squads can shoot out of buildings so I think the HQ would be considered to be its own tower already. I wonder though if the devs should put in an upgrade or something that does add a tower on top for snipers?

Engineer's hate mechanics with a passion. They have no consideration for the people that have to work on the actual machines. And God forbid their wife cheats on them with a mechanic. That's when we start seeing car batteries installed inside the transmission.

@@TheRyderShotgunn eh I'd say mechanics and engineers have a complicated love-hate relationship, engineers like mechanics when they do their job right, and mechanics like engineers when they design things that are easy to maintain (but hate engineers when they make shit that's a nightmare to fix/replace, like headlights that require pulling the whole front off a car to replace, or bolts that you can't reach without being a contortionist lol)

Mechanics mostly despise engineers, and most engineers are unaware why the mechanics don't love them. If you're not a mechanic go find one and ask why he hates engineers, you'll be there for awhile though

I feel like the buildings showin the symbols on them dont mean they contain such as you thowt; but indicate that its that kind of buildin. Honestly in a post-apoc scenario the marked buildings are likely to be the emptiest bcuz folks go for them first; tho sometimes you find things others missed.

I want a game like this, but instead of zombie survival, it is beavers. And eventually, you will die. THere is no survival. Make it an unofficial prequel to Timberborn, where we learn the humans didn't actually destroy themselves. It was the beavers. Building little barricades. Dams. Bridges. Pumping logs. Name it City of the Dammed You cannot attack the beavers because they are too damn cute. So you have to find ways to survive without directly killing them. That is how the beavers took over. They weaponized their cuteness.

This looks like a reboot of a game called Rebuild 3. More mechanics, better graphics, but basically the same concept. Clear zombies, adapt buildings, grow the settlement, repel zombie hordes. Rinse and repeat ad nauseum.
