Yes, what happened at the road block? The deputy stands in the middle of the road and points his shotgun at the tires of the oncoming vehicle intent in killing him! Hello! Shoot directly at the windshield or get the hell out of there. Then the shotgun jams??? Those pump action shot guns are very reliable. There's so much more to this story than is being admitted to. I just can't imagine the lack of training these cops had. We trained constantly with these weapons, sidearms and shotguns.

The kidnapped cop was very naive to be taken that way. And then he collaborated in the kidnap of a citizen who ended up being murdered. And then they let Gordon bust through a road block - and it was only luck that this didn't lead to the murder of the Vietnam vet who confronted him. And then the final pair of cops can't protect their guns from a known serial killer. Good grief...

I was in law enforcement for many years and transported many prisoners; many many times. I have NEVER heard of transporting, especially someone this dangerous, in the open back seat of a car under these circumstances. It's pure INCOMPETENCE! There is no excuse for this kind of incompetence. The last two officers know they are lucky to be alive. Thank God this incident didn't escalate and get out of control.

Very sad, but I'm really surprised the trooper didn't overpower Gordon from behind. They were both in the back seat while he was driving - all he had to do was wrap his belt around his neck and pull. Easy for me to say, I suppose, but he was a trained policeman. Also a bit gobsmacked that he approached Gordon in the first place, knowing how dangerous he was, and (presumably) without gun in hand.

Because without that, we would be China. GUILTY, until proven innocent. 99.9% of people are found guilty in their courts. So imagine your son was accused of assault of a kid, and you were with him at the store & are his alibi, but the cops arrest him, & he has to prove not only that he was with you, but that you weren't lying to cover for him. And as I said, they gave a 99.9% conviction rate, so say goodbye to your kid. He's going to false confess, for less harsh treatment of a conviction he's going to get. That's why, we have defense attorneys.

Its called encounter. When they want to kill a criminal instead of taking him to court. Only reason in this case may be that Knowles killed a police officer. So the police were like "how dare you kill a police officer, other criminals may get ideas from you. Go kill unarmed innocent civilians, never kill a police officer"

It is so that if the killer was alive you guys could have had more information from him. But at the same time the government has to keep him feeding through the tax payers money. More over inside the troopers cars if the officer didn't shoot him they both would have died. Cause he's not going to let them live. It's him gone than the officers.

Those bloodhounds are MAGICAL! Finding the scent of a person who merely walked across a road, out of all the other folk who walked across the same road, THE DAY BEFORE! Man, that’s MAGIC, don’t you think? It could be a city crosswalk, where hundreds of people had walked before and since then, and the dog can cut him out of the herd, and follow them where they’d changed directions. That’s amazing! Have you ever wondered what they’re smelling? I have! Does it smell funny? What? I heard a policeman say the dog could, “smell the adrenaline from his sweat pours.” My God, he smells the body, the sweat, AND the adrenaline. In a sniff? That boggles the mind. And, he smells all the other people. I’m done.

The ignorance expressed in this doco is sadly typical, for example, Stockholm Syndrome is only acquired over a long period, and NOT over a mere 24 hours. Another example is the only reason she ( Taylor ) wasn't killed was solely due to the fact she remained calm, polite and obedient., she is not the only survivor of Serial Killers who also survived due to the same reasons, when those traits are displayed to someone with Psychopathy it intellectually disarms them, they do not know what to do with that victim and so often let them live. It is ONLY rare because the vast majority of victims completely lose their minds and freak out or try to fight.

Don't be daft, criminals do not have to play by any rules or laws. Police officers have to follow the law. Follow the rules and that can hamper any free flowing thoughts/creative solutions....that they might have
