The purging of Sicily has probably been the greatest achievent of normans in Italy. Their influence in the island can be felt even today.

This is fantastic! Our Norman ancestors were truly a tough breed, they had to be. Count Serlo of Hautville was my 30th great uncle!

This was a huge loss for this elite band of brothers. It probably strengthened his fellow knights and made them focused with fervor.

Real Crusades History ..I enjoyed this video very much, well done. I’m curious if you have heard of Sir Peter Gunter, (B.1034 Normandy) and Knight of the Golden Glove? I believe he fought in the battle of Brecon 1093. Also, the 1st cousin to William the Conqueror. If so, do you have plans for a video? Thanks 🦋

@4min 40 sec - The study of Etymology (is the study of the history of words). By extension, the etymology of a word means its origin and development throughout history. Giving a Norman governor the title of Imir . Imir may refer to: Imir, Ardabil (Persian: ايمير‎) Eymir, Zanjan (Persian: ايمير‎) Ymir, a being in Norse mythology. Amir is a multinational and multilingual masculine name. The name comes from the same root as the word emir. In Hebrew the name may mean crown. An emir (/əˈmɪər, eɪˈmɪər, ˈeɪmɪər/; Arabic: أمير‎ ʾamīr [ʔaˈmiːr]), sometimes transliterated amir, amier, or ameer, can refer to a king or an aristocratic or noble and military title of high office used in a variety of places in the Arab countries. soooo..a Christian knight bestows this title...interesting. The Saracens referred to the Sunni Muslim armies who were involved in the Muslim Conquests and Crusades in the Middle Ages. All the while, the Essene community went 'underground' until it was safe to move on to Padua. Then splitting with one group going to Spain and the other to the north end of the Black Sea. Some became Converso, even changing the spellings of their names.in order to survive. Much later, around the black hand 1910-1940 family groups came into the U.S. under a cloak of secrecy. For clues, find place names like MESSINA/ Syracuse in New York, Texas and more. Even South Africa. The need to know knights thru the ages knew there was more to the grail myth. Imagine...the nexus all began with The Norman Conquest of Sicily. TY SO MUCH FOR THE WORK AND CARE YOU ARE DOING!!! History is not always written by the 'winners'. The magi knew the wisdom of silence. G-d....this so beautiful.
