Yea Liam Coen is gonna be great for Tampa he was a candidate to be a head coach. He made Kentucky's offense record breaking for them and coached some good games against good teams but his players didn't give him that same results by missing out on a lot of plays he schemed up. Even then he put up 50+ TDs for Kentucky which I believe is one of the seasons like that for them. Kentucky's gonna completely fall off offensively without Liam as you can tell from looking at the stats and the fact that he left for a year and got his job back. If he carries his play style over (even with the players technically calling the plays) then the Bucs will improve heavily in the run and pass game just wait. Dave was a first year coordinator n never called plays in his life until last year and he had more learning curves then actual greatness

The Buccaneers are going to kick ass this year....the most underrated and misunderstood franchise in the NFL.... Its been hard to shed that "loser" tag thats plagued the Bucs most of their existence but since the Glazers bought this franchise its slowly turned around with 2 SB titles and some divisional titles....but since Tom Brady came the whole image has changed if you've been a fan since the 76 season...4 straight playoff appearances and 3 straight divisional titles... This is a start of a new era in Tampa with Mayfield and a host of talented players...i see the Buccaneers only improving and continuing to hold the NFC South captive and going deeper into the playoffs and towards the SB...... You'd be foolish to look past Tampa if they're on your teams schedule.....if healthy and playing to their potential there isnt a team we cant beat....

This is a very underrated team. They are going to bring it this year and being led by Jason Licht, who is now infamous for finding gems throughout the draft and undrafted free agency, I am predicting 10 to 12 wins and a 4th Division Championship.
@WillMuny

Licht has had the weirdest tenure of any GM I can remember. He was not a good GM until he traded for JPP, and for whatever reason once he did that everything got better. Picks, Free Agents, Contracts. Really, really weird. Just look at the 4 years before the trade and the 4 years after the trade. 2014 Mike Evans and then a bunch of stiffs in free agency and the draft. And while Logan Mankins was great in 2015, he was very bad in 2014 2015 Had a good draft, Marpet, Smith. Hard to fault him for drafting Winston. Alexander was a good pick. Free Agency was bad, real bad 2016 Maybe the worst draft class in Bucs History. Absolute Bums, Ryan Smith being the best pick and he is nothing more than a Special Teamer. Free Agency was better, Grimes and Ayers were good with the Bucs so was Robinson. But they resigned Martin which turn out very bad 2017 Chris Godwin saved this class, but again everything else was a bust Free Agency was bad, Rodgers was a decent RB for the Bucs but Baker and Jackson were cancers in the locker room Mike Evans, Ali Marpet, Donovan Smith, Chris Godwin, and to a lesser extent Winston were the only decent players drafted in 4 years. Free Agency was just as bad. The before the 2018 draft he trades for JPP and look what happens. 2018 Vea, Davis, Cappa, Whitehead and still in the league Watson, Stewart and outstanding draft across the board Free Agency was average but they did sign Jensen who was great with the Bucs 2019 The draft does not look as good as a few years ago but 7 players still in the league with Dean and Nelson still with the Bucs. But White, Miller, Edwards played big roles in winning a Super Bowl Signing of Shaq Barrett was a Grand Slam 2020 Drafted Wirfs and Winfield Signed some QB, forget his name 2021 Shaping up to be a BAD draft for the Bucs No FA of note returned nearly the whole team It is just weird.

@@WillMuny He needed some time to learn the craft of managing a team. But he started out with the first draft pick probably becoming a Hall of Famer, and there is a half dozen or so after Mike Evans that will be too if they stay healthy. As a personnel man no one comes close to his ability. He has especially done well in recent years in the later rounds and free agents. (the hardest area to excel in)

I think Canales is great QB coach. I'm not convinced he's a great OC. His play calling lacked creativity. And Sean McCay style creativity is what Liam Coen brings. That plus the improved O-line makes the Bucs better next year!
@urusledge

His schemes seemed okay but his refusal to abandon running first when it clearly wasn’t happening definitely cost the Bucs multiple games. I don’t think Baker is as reliant on rhythm as people think but there is a bit of truth to it and constantly having drives interrupted by losing yards on the run or running on first and second down for no gain then throwing behind the sticks would screw anybody up.

Baker can be really good. around 10-15. The mindset of White shows, that the team is after sth. like a wolfpack tracking a target. White shows that he is fired up. You are not fired up, if you dont have a good gut feeling. Plus he has a good RB at his side.

My question - If you flopped Maholmes' circumstances (the best coaching/strategist and "go-to" targets when in trouble, in the NFL) with Baker's (they MAY win 3 games) circumstances, would PM still look better? Did PM suddenly become way better, and Baker forgot how to play QB the minute they put on NFL uniforms? I think not.

If the Browns would of drafted Mahomes in 2017 instead of KC, he'd probably be out the league by now tbh. He'd be selling insurance somewhere in Texas. 😂

@@BeReal918 yeah people gotta understand, Mahomes was not the most insane player coming out of college, the Chiefs were just a very good organization at the time waiting for someone good enough to turn into a super star, and this is the first time Andy Reid is playing with a real good QB instead of the playoff choker that was McNabb and the mid-tier QB's which was Vick (vick was élite at some points but not all the time) and Alex Smith.

@@dozyy7020 PM is great, but I've seen him throw a lot of ill-advised passes that, if he didn't have the best "go-to" receivers in the business, would have been INTs. IMO, O-lines, good coaching, effective strategies, ball-hawking targets, and time to build chemistry, will make a QB look better than they really are. Baker has had VERY LITTLE of any of those things. Certainly nothing CLOSE to an Andy Reid, or time to build chemistry.

Great video love your perspective on the Bucs! I don’t know much about Liam Cohen. I know Baker is familiar with them. I have high hopes for the team I do want to say is I am kind of tired of people putting so much weight on Dave Canales. His office was not that great specially with the run, we’ll see what he does for the Panthers, but I feel like he’s gonna fall on his face

It depends on what measure Tyreek is using to determine which QB he thinks is tops. I could get on board with his list if the measure he is using is what QB throws the most beautiful and catchable balls and makes life easiest on his receivers... but then he has Lamar in there and clearly he doesn't belong if that is the measure we are using. Lamar is a big arm but erratic type QB like Josh Allan, Jordan Love, etc and those guys have their own claims to be top 5 but for different reasons. If Dak and Tua and Baker are on the list then we have to be talking about QBs throwing catchable balls so either he is just saying that Lamar transcends all skillsets because of how unique he is or he should be replaced in that list by someone like say.. Rodgers or Cousins... and from a WR standpoint it makes sense right that he would be judging a QB on how easy he makes it for him to do his job and make big plays because the more accurate you are the easier it is for a WR to make plays after the catch and to protect himself from hits.

Tampa is a wide receiver and a tight end away from superbowl caliber. The line could use a solid left guard, someone younger bigger and vetted. We can keep an eye out for defensive backs, line backers, and defensive linemen. Our running back room can handle the new kickoff sequence. Compared to our division we should remain first. We'll barely do better than last year. Upside national championship lost with harsh negotiations with key pieces in the off season. Downside we lose in the wildcard due to injuries and we cut depth due to inactivity. For example of tyreek came to tampa then the defensive backs would be forced to cover 3 to 4 because tampa is running 11 man. Our tight ends can catch to. This loosens the back field and the linebackers. Boom so the offensive line will feel stronger creating better run plays and screen plays. Motion opens up the defense more and gives you a plan b. This year is solely about coming together and understanding the new direction. That's just my opinion.

A WR and a tight end from superbowl caliber??? What are you smoking. This WR duo already won a superbowl together and have been in the playoffs together since 2020. We have 2 WR's, both with 1K yards each for 3 seasons straight. One is a Bonafide HOF if not first ballad HOF in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is easily one of the best (top 5) slot receivers in the league. We have Trey Palmer he we should be utilizing as a Tryeek Hill type WR with lots of motion to take advantage of his speed. Then drafted Jalen McMillan who was the best WR in Washington when he was there, who only got overshadowed in the draft due to injury in his last year, otherwise he would've been picked over Rome Odunze. Bucs got an absolute steal with that pick. For TE's we've got Cade Otton, who has proven to be the do it all TE for us. Payne Durham, who was severely underutilized by Canales, and drafted Devin Culp from Washington who will be just as good as Cade Otton if not better who was also from Washington. Then there is Ko Kieft who is a glorified Extra lineman that blocks amazingly well but couldn't catch a ball to save his life, so he still has a role to play in our offense albeit expect it to be more limited than his first few years with Tampa. Both of these skill position rooms are about as solid as it gets.

WR and TE are solid, especially WRs. There biggest flaw is no run game because of the interior line being weak + inconsistent/weak corners
