Hes saying he will essentially take less money to keep guys here. With the cap space we have next season, more chemistry, and bring in some players we need to help where we need it. And Tampa can be dangerous.

I don’t even think it was all on him though. You could drive a semi truck through the middle of the field on our defense today and that’s exactly what the Lions did. Combine that with plenty of dropped passes, and I gotta admit, I’m surprised it was as close as it was in the end. At least we didn’t get blown out. And while he did throw 2 picks, he also had an o-line that couldn’t block for shit. He clearly made those throws under duress. He does need to work on throwing the ball away instead of taking the sack and being able to extend plays outta the pocket with his feet, but I’ll be damned if I’m not happy with how my Bucs performed this year!

The kid has SO much talent and potential. What he's truly lacked has been consistency. Not talking about his performance consistency. You nailed it. So many different coaches and systems in so few years is a recipe for failure for almost ANY QB. In a stable system with the right pieces, I wouldn't be surprised to see him continue to put up numbers and seasons like this. He deserves a legit shot and has shown he deserves to be playing on more than a one year deal.

Look, Baker is a great quarterback and always has been. That's just how we do it in Oklahoma. 3 of 3 Big 12 Chips, the Mahomes Texas Tech (59) vs. Mayfield OU (66) bout, turning around the BROWNS for crying out loud (attempted anyway), the 98 yard game-winning drive while on the Rams - that was crunch time in under 2 mins, learning like 8 or 9 offenses now in his NFL career (drafted in 2018), while currently leading (before the AFC & NFC championships) the NFL this postseason in passing yards and TDs, Baker has always been a great quarterback and the Browns really squandered their chance with him. He more than deserves a home in the NFL, he shows it time and time again.

I didn't like the Mayfield hire at all. Now, I'd be pissed if they let him get away. With the exception of the forced pass at the end of the game, he was the main reason they were in it at that point. All the drops (especially Evans and Otten) and the missed blocking assignments are what killed them tonight. That first INT should go to Evans, because Baker hit him right in the hands.

I think Mayfield's mindset and Arians' coaching make for a hell of a pairing - Mayfield's biggest problem those first 2-3yrs was himself. Yeah, the constant coach changeups was an issue but he came into the league as "Manziel Lite". That being said, he's matured quite a bit and seems to have found his home in Tampa. You've gotta give credit when/where due and Mayfield has grown ALOT from the spotlight seeking kid to a guy willing to grind it out in Carolina and then actively fight for a starting position in Tampa
