I would like to pre order some seeds but I have yet to see an video of an actual glowing plant, I do not trust just acouple of images on your website, I want to see how good they actually glow before I spend my money, so please post a video showing your grow room in the dark! :)

Hi Linuxlinus. The plants are still dim, visible to the naked eye in a dark room but not yet bright enough to capture in standard video cameras. The photos you see are mostly 30 second exposures.

Glowing Plant I bought a glowing "snake plant" recently...I havent noticed it glow at all. I like the concept and the species of plant I was intrested in having in my home regardless... I would have bought the snake plant regardless but I thought why not this one. So in all, love the plant not sure if it glows.

maya wiseman what you bought was probably a plant that was not autoluminscent but had symbiotic bacteria that produced luciferin.

J Salas maya wiseman We've been told about this plant, it's not even as clever as symbiotic bacteria... they just painted the plants with glow in the dark paint. Cool and fun for kids, but a bit of a gimmick!

Can some one explain me the herbicide resistance part as a selectable marker ? I thought the final product would be having both herbicide resistance and glowing genes as a way to select them from non transformed cells. But the video says herbicide resistance shouldnt be in the final product

nvm i understood. The plants are intially both herbicide resistant and glowing genes..He then selfs the plant to obtain the progeny in which 1 out 16 contains glowing genes on both chromosomes and no herbicide resistance genes.

Am curious, why are you bothering to take the herbicide resistance gene out? Is it a precaution against unwanted propagation or are there patent issues? From what I heard many herbicide resistance patents for crops are expiring soon.
