John Fleming Of Real Hardware Reviews Is Dead It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that John Fleming, long time friend and fellow computer hardware enthusiast took his own life yesterday after a painful battle with depression. John's final words on Facebook last night was an apology for what he was about to do. He cited the pain caused by his wife's (Magen) repeated infidelity. John and I had spoke on the subject of his wife cheating several times recently and he felt helpless because she wouldn't stop. I only mention this as a warning because John's wife has since deleted the Facebook post, and is blocking or removing anyone that commented on the post. My heart goes out to John's children. Rest in peace my friend.

I just picked up a Logitech Z906 speaker system and I'm trying to find a USB cardioid mic that I can use with it in a relatively small room that hopefully will minimize how much of the 5.1 system it picks up during gaming. Maybe I'm asking for too much but wearing headphones is tough due to having tinnitus.. any help in my quest is appreciated.

Refurbished stuff at Amazon is basically items that at some point was mauled by machinery or by one angry monkey yet never maded it out of the warehouse. If you get a deal on refurb stuff and its 100% complete you got really lucky, its rare that the clean up crew gets every little piece of a product kit

Yes those scissor arms are made by the same manufacturer, just have a look on AliExpress literally everyone is selling the same thing. Boosting the audio in post doesn't make it a fake review. Boosting the audio in post to normalise it in a comparison with other mics is important because if not done, the louder mic will always sound better. Cheers.

You are not wrong for sure on the boosting of the gains or normalization of the gains but when you want to know what the mic sounds like out of the box it is best to stay away from that on a single mic review. When looking at multiple mic’s with built in volume adjustments I find it’s best to notify the viewer what settings each mic has to be at to get a similar sound level. If you are only using the mic for voice over or in recordings this is no issue at all. Almost all apps now have boost features so I feel no matter the user you are not going to be getting screwed over by that post adjustment. Thank you for your insight and that was more of a slip of the tongue than anything and really hope you are staying safe and healthy out there.

Hey there 👋😊 I’d be happy to help! The Pm421 and the Pm422 are the same mic, the only difference is that the Pm422 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the mic while the Pm421 does not. Hope this helped!

The diffence is the PM422 advertises "zero latency" I talked to a few of my audio buddies and one of them is a sound engineer they all agree that "zero latency" isn't a thing and never had any issues in regards to latency while gaming or just in general use.
