@@ludenrivas7758 The PM420 has a higher quality recording sample rate and comes with a whole set for you to get started. While the Fifine sounds pretty alright, and while it does have a jack for sound monitoring, its a pretty noisy one making the monitoring not the best experience.

I'm in Quebec Canada and the AU-PM420 that you just reviewed is $208.99 and the AU-PM421 that was introduced in Jan 2020 comes with a gain knob and a touch mute in the front of the microphone is $113.99. As for the specs they are the same! It also comes with all the kit that the AU-PM420 has! Kind of crazy in a sense!

I bought the MAONO AU-PM422 yesterday, has some additional features that the 420 doesn't have like the headphones connection and volume dial, i paid only 90 euros for the complete set. I wanted the blue yeti or Hyper X Quadcast first but both are sold out pretty much everywhere and i couldn't wait any longer and the PM422 is half the price of both and comes as a complete set. I'm actually impressed with what you get for the price and so is the quality of the recording i'm glad i didn't spend that much on the blue yeti or Hyper X Quadcast now :)

Was curious how you did this video tho. Do you film as well as use audacity (to record your audio) and then edit the vid and audio together on another editing app? Of course, and yeah for this video I have to film and record off audacity at the same, and then combine them after. To sync the audio and video easier, you record and then clap your hands to "clap sync," which allows you have a point in the Audacity audio track and video's audio track to sync to. Once synced and matched, you can evenly cut the audio and video track as you please (but they must always be cut and moved properly together).

I got asked to review this microphone on my channel also and the thing that I found it sounds better to use the wind screen and the pop filter at the same time cause then you don’t get blows of air and you don’t pick up a lot of low end in your mic so using both dose sound a lot better

I happen to have a tiny knowledge of public speaking, and that's why I made the remark I did: if you speak slower, it is a lot easier to follow what you say. The thing with humans, we think about 100 times faster than we can speak (and about 300 times faster to the speed we can write), so we try to speak as fast as we can, to "reach" what we want to say. The problem is, when you LISTEN to someone speak, we need time to digest. So a good way to go: speak at your "normal" speed, than slow it down half, and then slow it down half again. And then you are ready to record. (Dont be fooled by the fast talking radio DJs... thats a completely different genre: they are there to entertain, not to educate. Entertaining is a whole different story.). Okay, so much for today's free masterclass... :).

Why is it that I have the same mic but it picks up every single noise it can hear? And every time I sing a song that involves belting, even if I'm far from the microphone, like drastically far, it sounds too loud and something like that. Can you please tell me how to fix this?

I just got this microphone, and I'm having a very hard time with it picking up my laptops constant noise. I have an MSI gaming laptop, but even with Audacity I cant remove my laptops fan noise properly. I thought this mic may be too good for my small working space. Do you have any thoughts or advice about that?

Hmmm, fan noise is a difficult thing to deal with in general. Really depends on how loud it is I guess, like I can't really help much if your laptop becomes a jet engine whenever you game. When it comes to the mics, general consensus is that the closer it is to you, the better. This also means doing some adjustments in the windows control panel till you get the adjustments quite right to your liking. If it's adjusted to catch your voice easily from a distance, that also means it can catch anything else within that longer distance. Audio is legit a very fidgety matter.

Wow the manou sounds way better but it doesn't have the features of the yeti and has no gain control. More importantly it's not as good for interviews. I'm still definently going to get one how could I not.
