Thanks a lot for sharing this tutorial with us! But just note that when you remove parts of the tutorials your viewers are left confusing and frustrated as they spent some time on following your tutorial and the n some part is missing so they cannot continue. If you just upload all the steps you will get much more followers and views :) Otherwise I appreciate your effort but now I have to find another KZbinr who provides all the steps.

There is an option as "draw hidden objects" in 3d effect properties, try it maybe it will help)

when I delete the pieces of the starred part of the cap, before putting them together, I am removing everything in the selection. when you do it though, it looks like you are only removing an outer layer of it. what am i doing wrong?

Great video! I just wish it mentioned how to make the dimensions of the star accurately line up with that of the bottle cap. I used a different picture off google apart from the one in the video. I couldn't use your dimensions since the photos aren't the same. When making the star, how do you know radius 1 is 1.7 cm and radius 2 is 1.3 cm. Did you have the dimensions of the bottle prior to starting? This is coming from an extremely ignorant illustrator newbie!
