Made Houmous with red lentils when I was out of chickpeas - it was perfect! I’ve increased my veg so much that I need to do an extra shop mid-week. Love it, it’s a habit I’m happy to take on. Thank you for your encouragement.

I blended in a can off chickpeas with the liquid too with the chocolate. So yummy. I made black bean patties, hummus and cucumber romaine burger without buns. I use romaine leaves and make boats…so yummy

I think a Ninja Creamy may be my next big kitchen purchase! I would love to see you turn that Pumpkin latte (the one that was more like a smoothie) into an ice cream! Something else that would be amazing (but a little more fattening) would be soy yogurt with PB2, maple syrup (maybe a banana would work), and raspberries. Yum! Love your videos and all the inspiration you bring!

Try adding a few chunks of frozen pineapple. I've been experimenting with that instead of dates and I like it. I just made a chocolate orange pudding too.

I'm focusing on my hunger/fullness cues. Not ignoring hunger cues until it's more convenient. Ate whole foods every time I got hungry today. Ended up being a banana. And half a sweet potatoe. Ready to eat some dinner now.

Yes love the thought process! Also it is so odd for me that you said it was savoury when it had banana in it to sweeten it. I noticed before as well, you add banana and then note that you add date for sweetness, but banana gives everything sweetness. 😜 funny how we differ in our tastes and thought processes :))

Love your videos and I have and LOVE all your cookbooks. Cannot wait for the ice cream book! I got a creamy ninja for Christmas. Haven’t gotten to try it yet. I have a question about this video - beets are about the only vegetable I don’t eat. I just don’t like the taste. So what other vegetable would you suggest possibly substituting for beetroot in the pasta sauce? I do pesto (oil free) frequently, and lemon pasta and cheese sauce and cauliflower. Any other suggestions? Thank you so much!

I just can’t get my veggies crispy like you do. I even bought a new air fryer because the other one wonder give me results. Still not having luck.

I'm encountering health concerns with the starch solution and had to increase my fat intake from 10%, which is the amount it suggests, to 20%. I was having nosebleeds and extremely sensitive to the cold. I was completely fine for 100+ days of the starch solution, the concerns just randomly started to happen. Starting to question whether this diet is actually good for the long term now. I think it's good but the fat restriction is too much.

Do you ever all sit down for a family meal? It seems like you're always eating standing up and your kids are at their little table. I found that while my kids were still at home, family meal time was sometimes the only time we were all together and they were very special moments for me (and hopefully for them too).

love the green walls in the computer room , and nutritional yeast and silken tofu are processed not whole food's .
@brassica3511 ай бұрын
Yes, but tofu and nutritional yeast aren't regarded as the worst processed foods you can have. They are still healthy. Tofu is also an ancient food that has been around for a few hundred years. The concern is with unhealthy processed foods. Generally, most people on a WFPB diet might not be so much of a purist to avoid everything that's a bit processed, because those foods are essentially still very healthy and nutritious. Marmite (if you're not from the UK - it's yeast extract) - is a processed food, but the food standards people don't want to lump it in the same category as heavily processed foods, because it does you good.
@brassica3511 ай бұрын
Sorry, I made a typo and trying to edit my comment just wouldn't work for some reason. I meant to put that bean curd has been around for a few thousand years, not a few hundred.

No way! I rewatch each episode a few times to get the bits I miss and to scribble down recipes etc. Any time Romi appears, I totally miss what Ami says, cos I get so caught up in Rom-Rom's fun chatter & adorable pronunciation & her enthusiasm as she copies Mum or tries to help her cook! 😆❤ PS..Ami is the ONLY KZbinr I do this with however. Everyone else, yep im just like you...skip....fast forward...play on double speed etc.👍🌻
