it's interesting as well how much our eyes can pick up on subtle color differences from person to person. when I look at the cat's eye I actually see more green tones in it! When I paint people's pets now I always ask them what tones they see in their pet's eyes so I can match the tones to their interpretation better so it is more personal to them

That's very true Gigi how we as individuals perceive things differently. Plus, light can play a big difference for those colours we view as well, such as indoors or outdoors. 😺

Amazing step by step…really brought home the ‘slow down’ aspect of watercolour …I definitely end up with a mess …too dark because I don’t take my time!
