Well, it's fairly nice, but you have to sort the glass material out, to see a glass material trough another one (like at the beginning and like at the end of the video). The options as of now are not satisfactory, certainly for production purposes. Regardless, that is Unity, and this tutorial is comprehensive and great. I hope you'll get the recognition for all your hard work, on the previous very helpful tutorials(if not the most helpful videos on youtube).

What HDRP version are you using? Can't see the "Distortion" checkbox under "Transparency Inputs" in my material. Using HDRP 7.2.1
@SimonTysland4 жыл бұрын
Found the answer myself. This setting is only available to unlit shaders as of 7.1+

Yes the distortion box is gone. I was primarily interested in blurring. A work around (or perhaps this is a legit technique) is to lower the smoothness parameter to blur the objects seen through the shader, then turn up the coatmask to restore the shiny reflections.

Hi, I don't have a reflection probe, simply just created a sphere and added a material but the transparency shows up black all the time. It doesn't seem to be caused by the lack of a reflection probe. Any help with this?

Great tutorial, as always - thank you. I'm currently working on a scene with many wine glasses and have been struggling with a particular issue that also shows up in your video. The issue is: a glass object will not show another glass object behind it. For example, I have two wine glasses close to one another and as I rotate the view so that one glass partially obscures the other, the glass in the background is not visible through the one in the foreground. I noticed this also occurred in your video and wonder if there's anything to be done about it? Thank you for the great tutorials!

I have a simple(maybe not) question. If I have a model with many parts, how can I texture it? Making new material for any detail is...I don't think it's the way. Send a video or write me how can I do it. pls :)
@UGuruz4 жыл бұрын
You can use substance painter or Photoshop for texturing and apply one material for all the object that contains one big texture maps.
