When I saw the title of your video I thought “ $800 apartment in LA? I didn’t know they had KZbin in 1994!?” Then I saw the roaches. They have em in really good neighborhoods too but yes, NY wins the rat race. The honesty and realism of your videos is refreshing and I think your hustle will take you far, just be good to people on your way up because connections are everything out here. i love how realistic this is. i'm from south east asia, and to see how luxurious a lot of the 'first apartment' videos are uploaded on youtube, by college students, makes me boggled. SE Asia college students here can barely afford to live on rent, so we're often paying 150 bucks rent per month by the bed where we can find it, often in small apartments that's stuffed up to 10 people. thank you for sharing this.

I rented a 3 bedroom apartment for the last 3 years for $1700. Landlords raised the rent to $2600 so I moved out. We also had roaches & roomates but if you find good people it's easy.

Wow your bedroom here is smaller than mine was when I was living in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles! Mine was 10 feet by 11 feet for $750 a month. But with the washer dryer and dishwasher and everything that $800 gives a lot of value.

Soooo cute, love it! You made me laugh so much about the cockroach :D Great home, love the backyard, and you live ina an awesome area. I havent been to the Grove yet, when I was there 1.5 years ago, I stayed in Sherman Oaks, which is also a safe family area and my friend who lives in LA and is currently in Studio City, will be moving to Sherman Oaks. If you ever decide to look around for homes in the future, check it out. I met many people from the LA film school for student living, so you can look around there as a recommendation. However, you found your spot so enjoy it :) When I am back, we should diff hand out! I love your channel and your so natural and open and REAL !!! Keep up the awesome work!

Cool video of your apartment. I hope you’ve graduated now. In my area (Orange County), apartments start at $1900 and some start at 2,200 for 1 bedroom. Yikes! Fortunately for me, my friends and I bought a house together (6 of us), and after 11 years and inflation, I’m so glad we did. My girlfriend thinks it’s cool. Lol.

刘雨轩 so cheap. I was in Santa Monica in 2011 and paid $1000 per month for a cockroach infested small one bedroom (didn’t share it with anybody) on Pico Boulevard. Rent has nearly doubled or even tripled in some cases since then. It’s more like Manhattan prices now

At least she is keeping it real and I like her for that ! For those roaches get some boric acid and spread it in every nook and cranny in that apt. That looked like a water bug which is a big roach if it made noise scurrying around.You have to get up in that light during the day and tape over the screw hole slots which holds down that whole light fixture. Your room mates may have traveled there with roaches in their belongings and they will hide in electronics , boxes ,bags, books etc...... stay safe ! Peace and love!

BENGAL spray will take care of those roaches and cockroaches. Spray around the bathroom and kitchen areas, spray both the bathroom and kitchen sinks, spray around your windows, spray around the closet opening, and spray the corner near your front door and the bottom of your front door. Do this monthly.

I know I’m late with the comment but girl I don’t blame you about not wanting to remove “Rachel the roach and her little friend cause they gross me out too lol 😂! They’re everywhere in California 😩! I live in the Los Angeles county area near Pasadena and we have those big cockroaches and you see them wherever you go! I hate looking at them even when they are dead 🤢🤮lol!!! And some of them will fly too. I am so scared of them. But I really liked your apartment tour cause you did show the realistic side of having an apartment in LA. You would have to have a nice amount of money to be able to afford those luxury apartments that you see on KZbin or a lot of roommates to help pay the rent lol 😂! Tfs.
