In last weeks show I misinformed you that Jim Heppner's railroad was Gary Peterson's railroad. Oops. Let's take a look at both railroads and check them out. On the coldest day of the year too. Both railroads are used for "realistic operation", an interesting system that lets several people work together to run the layout as though it were a real railroad.

Nice job filming and profiling the two layouts...and I really liked your explanation of model railroad operations! Your intro and conclusion filmed in your car struck me as a bit odd at first, but I have to admit I found them increasingly entertaining the more I watched! Fun stuff! Beautiful snow covered mountains seen through your car window at the end, by the way! Thanks for the good time!

By the way, as you are an american citizen I guess you must know very well at this time who are the guys that really run your country, because all of them has nothing to do with senators or the Congress it self. Many greetings from Chile, John.

Toy Man Television Oh !. What a surprise !. So, you know something about my country, then. Very well, mister !. And yes, Chile is a beautiful country, specially all the south portion of territory. That is a wonderful place to know for any foreigner. I'm from the middle territory (our country has 4000 kilometers long), near Santiago, its main and biggest city. I live in Viña del Mar (Grapewine of the Sea, in your language). A splendid city by the Pacific Sea and one of the most beautiful too, with a fantastic 22º C almost all the year long. Cheers, John.

HO or H0 is the most popular scale of model railway in the world. According to the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) standard S-1.2 predominantly used in North America, in HO scale, 3.5 mm (0.1378 in) represents 1 real foot (304.8 mm); this ratio works out to 1:87.0857142, usually rounded to 1:87.1.According to the MOROP standard NEM 010 predominantly used in Europe, the scale is exactly 1:87.[4] In HO, rails are spaced 16.5 mm (0.64961 in) apart which models the standard railroad gauge of 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in).

I'm new to the model railroading, so I have a question, when you buy locomotives and railcars, are they all from the same brand, because they're arent compatible with other railcars and locos of other brands, especially with the coupler?
@ToyManTelevision
@ToyManTelevision 8 жыл бұрын
+Isaiah Vangster As long as they follow NMRA standards they all work together. Some people change things, coupler is often changed to Kadee, not NMRA. BUt Kadee replaces NMRA with ease

Great job filming both railroads and the in depth explanation of what model railroad operations are all about. There are a group of us here in my area which visit each others model railroads and perform model railroad operations. It is a lot of fun and very entertaining to enjoy this hobby with others. I have subbed your channel. Please stop by and check out my channel when you get a chance and sub back if you don't mind. Thanks Bernie
