I find the worship music so calming at Mission thrift stores and the staff is so sweet and kind - mostly church volunteers. Best day to go there is on Black Friday, where everything is 50% off their already low thrift pricing.

Those vintage coasters look great on the chess board with the bust … a beautiful vignette of three on your coffee table!!! Might not have found many things at the multiple stores this trip, but definitely gems!

Thank-you for this video! It’s actually encouraging to see that even you sometimes struggle to find things you like in your local stores. 😂 It encourages me to keep trying after I have a fruitless trip. And perhaps I need to look for some different stores than my usual ones, perhaps a little further afield. Looking forward to your next video!

Hey friend 🤗 I've been hunting those silver coasters for a while now ,with no luck yet. You should have grabbed that black desk lamp , you could have rub & buffed it. Always a pleasure , my sweet friend 🤎

I love Mission Thrift! The one is Mississauga is great and I’ve found some amazing pillows, mirrors and even furniture at that one. There is also a Talize in the same plaza, not great prices there, and a VV, Salvation Army and goodwill within 5 minutes from there. Its a great little circuit to do on a day off from work. Oh, and about 15 minutes away is one of the best habitat for humanity restores, sooo much furniture and some good housewares.

I loved that you shared the thrift finds in real time and expressed that others may not understand why you would spend so much time finding a piece when you could just buy it new. Unique pieces are what adds the character to your space so your "philosophy" sticks. I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother of 4. Back in my day it was garage sales and flea markets where I found my best pieces! Times have changed and now thrift stores and estate sales are more popular. ❤ love your content ❤

We have a Mission Thrift Store in Winnipeg. They are clean, well laid out and organized. From what I can find, Mission runs 50 stores across Canada. One of my favorite places to thrift because it is so clean. Enjoy your videos, find them inspiring.

It’s really mindful what you said about not filming strangers. I feel too many times youtubers slip up and forget that when they’re in a busy place and want to get footage.

Mission Thrift do have better pricing. They are volunteer driven, meaning most of the staff are volunteers. They have approximately 50 stores across Canada. Value Village is part of Savers, a collection of stores including Plato’s Closet, and others. They are an American firm, now a publicly held company and for profit. A staff member explained to me that they do make donations to the Diabetes Association. However the prices are sometimes higher than the original sticker prices that show on the stickers still on the items from the original store. They also have gone to self-checkout in our local store. A good video showing how thrifting can be difficult, is very hit or miss, and is more expensive than before. Thank you.

All my donations go to Mission Thrift here in Winnipeg. They really do have the best thrift store prices and I love where the net proceeds are going!
