I love how you talk openly about calorie restriction in a healthy way. On social media there seems to be two polar opposites: eating a rice cracker a day or thinking all calorie restriction is a work of the devil and we should all eat whatever
@daenerys022 жыл бұрын
also love how you talk about doing this after overating. Many times when we're trying to mind our calories and overeat we think it's the end of the world. In short thank you!

My compost bin is on the counter with a lid with the charcoal filter in so you never smell it! We also run it out to our compost pile every few days or when it fills up. We have our pile next to our garden for easy, nutritious dirt for our garden.

@@lizzzarduh no bag. I usually just rinse it well in the sink. The kind I got is like enamel-coated metal. If there's lots of funkiness in there, I use a cheap bottle brush I got just for cleaning the bin and some dish soap and do a quick scrub and rinse of it.

Great video! We compost every bit of our waste by feeding it to our rescue chickens. They eat most of it but they are spoiled babies and get so much from the garden as well that they usually don’t eat it all. The remainder just composts in place. If it’s coffee grounds or something the chickens aren’t interested in we dig a small hole in our permaculture garden and toss it in and recover it. Within 3 months you wouldn’t know it was there.

What's your favorite vegan mayo? I cannot find one I like.
@joanramler78312 жыл бұрын
We have made our own vegan mayo for the last 8 years. It takes 4 minutes to make and is delicious. We use a recipe that calls for 1/3 cup of aquafaba. The rest is oil, lemon juice, vinegar salt pepper and a pinch of sugar. It’s excellent and so easy to make with everyday staples.

normal calories for a person is only 2000 calories, and you already at 1940. not much of a deficit diet. My dietician has me only on 1400 calories a day and I've lost 10 lbs without exercise in 2 months. I would have geared it more towards cleansing and detoxification from all the rich foods you had from your trips. that being said that's you and I'm me. Right now I messed up on some glutineous rice by adding too much water and it went mushy and trying to figure how to use it up and stay within my 1/4 cup serving size ration. Thinking of softening some apples in macadamia nut milk with vanilla and cinnamon and add some rice at the end, like a sweetish kinda rice porridge.
@Indywood2 жыл бұрын
Well the "normal" for her could be 2500 calories so that would be a deficit but neither of us know so why don't we just let her enjoy her food and let her eat whatever her body is wanting in her calorie deficit because as you said she is herself and you are you
