I'm a student in high school and I still probably think about film and my projects around 8 hours a day, it's kind of an obsession

DesiBoyzOfficial Is this a new obsession? What did you obsess on before making films?
@DesiBoyzOfficial9 жыл бұрын
Film Courage I've been obsessing over making movies since about my Sophomore year in High School, before that, I was obsessed with just watching movies for as long as I can remember. I guess you could say I'm obsessed with both now, haha

It's a exiting when one starts a new project. I'm just ready to start work on a pilot episode, an acting part, and can wait to see what happens next w/ this project. Great. questions as always. Thanks, FC and Sean for taking the time.

I can totally identify with the sensory overload. I want to create something unique but it has to follow the rules of film making enough so that it makes sense. So I spend a lot of time studying. Disconnecting for a while might be a good way to reset creative juices. Great advice!

I will have to set an alarm pretty soon to bring me back to reality during the day. That would be my disconnect from everything, but my actual writing project. Since I'm no longer working, I spend most of my time online. It's easy to lose hours and hours, even checking out other people's films, watching films, reading screenplays, learning, researching, emailing, FBing, Tweeting, bladidida. As a new screenwriter as of Dec, 2017, I gave myself Daily writing goals: 1) write at least 5 new pages and rewrite/review 2 pages, 2) Learn something new everyday [TY FC!] 3) make at least one contact (make new or respond to existing) OR create/research a new story idea. Yearly goals: 1) complete at least 5 first drafts AND 2 rewrite completion (meaning no more rewrites - it's finished dammit!), 2) have latest completed script reviewed, and 3) schedule target all contests for the year that I want to submit a screenplay..

so true re: our phones. I'll still never forget telling my Verizon wireless client that hand held would take over laptops & tv's... just as texting was taking over japan. ---such a love hate relationship w tech!
