Meet Jack, Jaseleigh and their little baby Kaydee. They live in South Wales with Jaseleigh's parents. With a small baby, they live a cosy life, not lifting a finger at home. Jaseleigh is her daddy's princess and Jack doesn't just live with his father-in-law, but works for him as well. Will fake-tan remain a priority? How will the pair cope when suddenly hit with a blow to their finances?
Hotel of Mum & Dad is back! Giving some of the UK's young couples who are still living at home with their parents the chance to move out from their easy life at home! Will a broken boiler end up breaking hearts? Will organising a stressful house-warming party be music to everyone's ears?

I did it too and deeply regret it. Now I'm happily married and promote the traditional ways, they were so much better.

In some countries families live together? Why is it being spoilt when others do it.
@bobinastaah4086
@bobinastaah4086 3 сағат бұрын
I think calling them spoilt is to do with the fact that they didn't contribute to the household of their parents... I.e they admitted to not doing chores or paying for shopping etc. And from an English culture perspective, living with your parents is seen out of the norm. Although of course living under their roof and having them provide for you completely are different. I'm glad they chose independence and let their parents have a break too.

There is nothing wrong with multi-generational living situations. Actually, members and families can feel to have more support for themselves and their children provided the environment is healthy. Not to mention, many cultures encourage this tight knit family… I see more white families encouraging distance and estrangement from each other. It would be helpful for there to be classes available (like CPR) that helps young people and new families manage adult responsibilities and relationships during baby years.

I think you're referring to what used to be taught in schools. Home-Ec, Home accounting, health class, shop, et. al.. But they don't have the time for any of those courses today. The public is told that they have to teach CRT, DEI or The theory of Marxism because those things are MUCH more important than things like skills that'll help kids in their adult lives.

Childhood and teen years aren't just about freedom and play ~ it's also the time for the parents to *prepare the child for adulthood* ~ it starts early on, teach about cooking and cleaning and about money... Just basic LIFE SKILLS. That first 18 years, that's when the parents have to do it; focus on preparing the kids for adulthood. It's too late when they move out, they should learn the basic skills already BEFORE they move out! Most parents just focus on getting through the days with the kids, school and food and play and trips etc... Nah, you have that time to prepare them for adulthood!! It's a different world - the real world...

Some people are more emotionally attached than others. Nothing wrong with it. Me and my partner live together and have for 5 years (been together 7) and when my mum wentt away on holiday i had to stay at hers to watch the family family dog. Its 3 miles from where me and my partner live. We met up and went for walks together every morning, my partner with our dog and me with my family dog, id then drop my family dog back and go home with ny partner. We'd have lunch together and then id hwead back to my mums to my family dog. Later hed leave our dog at home and come to my mums to me and we'd chill and have dinner and watch a film before hed go home for the night and id stay there. We did that every day. By night 4 i was crying on the phone to him because i wanted to go home. I did not like being away from everything i have built. I did not like going to bed without him and i did not like sitting on the night with our usual conversations and chilling chilling together. By the end of the 10 days i felt id been away for months. I hated hated hated being in a new environment to what im used to and not having my usual life and home comforts around me. I did really enjoy spending so much quality time with my family dog, thats the onlry single thing. Everything else else was awful.

Too many families break apart in the west, that's what's wrong with family values, so I love how this family truly love each other and have lived in the same home; it's refreshing.. Families should live together or close by, it's how it society should be however, her parents have failed her for wrapping her up in a bubble without teaching her life skills, needed fo her to be a functional adult and mother. No wonder she's petrified. She should have had the intuitive urge by now to want to be with her own baby and boyfriend, and enjoy walking to the park and embracing a new life, but she seems terrified. Such a shame because she's a sweet girl and they are clearly good and doting parents. We can love our children from a distance or close by, but the blueprint of any family should be independance, first and foremost.
