I could have saved money and had a little nest egg for when I got married, but I couldn't see that far into the future and just wanted to enjoy myself. Looking back, yeah it would have been nice to have saved up, but I also don't regret enjoying being young. I'm impressed with how fast her priorities changed after moving out. I’m not sure if it was because I was abused and neglected as a child to the point I looked after siblings and heard a lot of adult conversations about money, marriage, divorce, house etc that I shouldn’t have but I could live independently as soon as I could reach all the cupboards and the stove.
