I am a Bangladeshi hindu. Basically i live in Sylhet. There is no religious attack on minority after 5 August at Sylhet. Though few hindu got trouble but they are engaged with Awami League. Both Hindu and Muslim community live here together with harmony. The probelm is on social media, and indian tv channels who misinformed and publishing biased report. Overall Bangladesh’s religious situation remain stable.

I am a 15-year-old Bangladeshi. A Hindu family used to rent a part of our house a few years ago. They lived with us for three years, but we never felt like we were from two different religions. It always felt like we were one family. They left our house in 2020, when I was 11 years old. The night before they left, I cried as long as I was awake before going to sleep. Their daughter cried for nearly three months after they moved out because of me. We still keep in touch with them. They have visited our house a few times since leaving, and we have also visited theirs. We are planning to visit their house again soon, and after their daughter’s exams, they will come to visit us. When they went to their village for Puja, they would always bring sweets (like narus) for us. During Ramadan, we would send them iftar. The uncle used to bring iftar from his office during Ramadan and give it to me. When they lived in our house, Sheikh Hasina was in power, and uncle strongly disliked her and her party, the Awami League. I believed that all honest and conscious citizens of Bangladesh, regardless of religion, despised Hasina and her party.

I want to thank you for bringing up the issue regarding the river water sharing dispute we have with India, which is a major source of grievance towards "big brother" India; I hope that you will dive deeper into this issue in a future episode as it was only the tip of the iceberg that was discussed in this video. Because of the release of the water from the domes the water level rises so high all on a sudden that we can’t grow 2nd crop (Amon) which leads 50% less production. In 1990, 1992, 2006 Shakhari Bazar was targeted several times by Jamat mobs. Half of the businesses and homes were destroyed. Many of them fled to Kolkata. The "Muslim brother" you are referring to, was not murdered by Hindu mobs. There is no evidence till now who were involved. It has been many times in India that radical Muslims beheaded Hindus. Yet, there was no riot. You should live in India and I will take care of your expense to show Indian Muslims are living better than you in Bangladesh.
