I knew a Gen 2 owner who met me at Charging Grid. He completed 80k plus KMs and he is very happy as he is still getting 70k+ KMs range per charge. He just changed Ather drive belt thrice and tires twice. It gave me confidence to rely on my Gen 3 for next 3 years. I have completed 13k KMs in 1 year. No range drop noticed yet.

A similar incident happened to my dad's pure ev epluto 7g. Within 6 months of buying the scooter, the showroom was closed without prior intimation. Initially the scooter used to go around 100 kms on a single charge(claimed range 120kms), but after 9 months the range dropped to 85, then with in 2.5 yrs the scooters batter dropped again and again to 60, 40, 20, and less than 10 now the battery is dead within 18600kms, but the warranty is for 3yrs of 30000kms. I tried contacting the company but there was no proper support, so I have sent a notice to the company with the help of a lawer. No reply was given, so this week we are going to file a law suit on pure ev. The build of the scooter is so poor that the swing arm of the scooter broke within 2 yrs. Pls don't buy Pure ev products.

Even when I contacted the company by mail, they did not respond properly. The way they treat their customer is like "we have sold the product and that is it".

i have almost the same problem , in my case my vehicle didn't even run 4kms on the original battery , range dropped to 60, was told to use spare battery , took them 1 year to return my original battery and it was still defective , now it's been 4 months since I gave my vehicle for battery issue , they won't even give me a spare battery this time . Imagine 4 months without a vehicle which is my primary transport . Sent two leagl notice and no reply from the company . Filed consumer complaint and my first court hearing is on Dec 4 . Share your number we should definitely use each other case filing as proof .

How Ironic . There has to be a way to replace individual cells in a DIY manner. We should create a forum to discuss the 7G battery problems.

Mine 450X has done 40K+ and I make sure to drive it on Warp mode still it delivers me far better range than what you get, so I think its definitely an issue with your piece. And yah the Fast Charges are sooo helpful in those cases when we actually need them. Ather still my first preference 💛🖤

There is definitely some issue with your battery. I have been using gen 2 ather 450x for almost 2 years. Completed 31k km and still getting a range close to 90-100 (solo). Pls check your battery health at a service centre. If the Soh has gone below 70% or if the unbalancing is more than 5%, you can get a warranty replacement.

My first service experience is so bad I just can't tell you.. at this time when I am writing this message my ather is at service center. There wasn't any issue in my vehicle before service but after service there was a weird sound in the vehicle. It was so problematic that my projected range in the application data reduced from 100km to 83 km in eco mode.. it is so frustrating I just can't tell you people.. its literally irritating

1. Maintain charge between 15% and 80% for regular use and regular charging. OR 2. Charge fully and reduce Charge Cycle. And never kept charge lower than 10%. This will significantly extend the health of any Lithium-ion battery. (I prefer the first one but sometimes company software tuned their battery indicator to show full charge at 80% of actual battery charge to increase their battery life)

India should concentrate more on sodium ion battery rather than litium ion batteries. 1. reduces cost of replacement 2. More efficient than litium ion batter 3. Mining sodium is not a costly process compared to litium and is abundantly available in nature.

I have seen a pattern in his videos. Last time also he had a fight regarding break disk. I have known people with gen 1.5 with more than 40k clocked. Now I am wondering about his reviews. Life of any pack is directly proportional to it's discharge rate and how many full discharge cycles are used. If driven in regular or eco mode , battery should last more than 800*avarage eco mode full pack range kms. If driven in power or wrap mode and consuming above 50wh/km will degrade the pack , no matter what. But here with approx 250 cycles , the soh is less than 50% could be few cells are bad . Also note, if you are charging the bike in fast charger many times, that as well accelerates the degrading.

yes i think he is using fast charger all the time as i use my home charger mostly only twice or thrice i use fast charger and many times in a week i use optimised charging that does charging between 6 pm to 5 am in morning, i have crossed 12 k km and don't face any show drop in range issue

Get the battery changed. Check state of heath in service centre. Battery has degraded below 70% SoH in my view. Ather should replace free of cost under warranty. Let's see if ather keeps its promise. Completed 20000kms on my Ola S1 pro. Range is same as on day 1.

The characteristics (voltage vs soc) of li-ion are not linear even when the cells are new. As the cells degrade they become more inconsistent. Predicting the range correctly as the cells age is a challenge. You cannot directly claim that after Running x kms the health will drop by a fixed %.

It's been a year and I've rode it 12k kms have the battery plan of 5 years for mg gen3 let's see how it goes. The good thing is I don't charge it immediately after I've completed a ride wait cool it down for 1 hour or 2 and then charge. Post charging wait disconnect let the charge heat settle for couple of mins and then ride. I try not to charge when it is has just arrived from ride.

Misleading video, the SoH is below 70% meaning he can get a free battery replacement within 3 years, or 5 years if he has extended warranty. Also the title does not mention the generation, which is misleading viewers to assume the current Ather gen.

I am very unhappy for ather 450x I am using before 18 months but two time battery issue and allready 25 days put on scooter in service centre but not resolved in my problem

Its like iphone, Dont compare with petrol bikes, its about the comfort and smooth Ather’s experience, not about ONLY mileage…. Trapped in apple ecosystem, now EV system 😂 But, after 4 years, Ather is giving very good driving experience.

Lithium ion battery dislikes being discharged. Thus, instead of range testing every now and then, avoid discharging beyond 20%

The actual show started for me after 20k. Belt got broken within 3k gaps. Front tyre started wearing one side showroom people told issue with tyre. Then replaced to Michelin pilot street again same thing. Service engineer not able to find the issue everything is looks fine. Telescoping,fork oil everything is normal still tyre is wearing one side. The way service managers are behaved with me when I pointed the issue they are like this is not our scooter😂 ask the manufacturer. #Salute #Kanchana_Ather . And they told me to remove the review which I gave on google map🤣. Still Kanchana Ather is not worried about scooter. Btw I bought the vehicle after seeing Pradeep video but I don’t feel any range drop after 20k. Anyway will do the range test also once for the reality.

You have warranty of 3 years for the battery, you can replace it

I have no range issues with my Ather 450X Gen 2 which has covered 16016 Kms as of now.
