What's YOUR interpretation of the term 'passive income'? It's something I know I have to get used to saying, without the 'almost' disclaimer. Because the widely accepted☂term passive income DOES cover all of the things I want to share with you. Print on demand clothing, accessories, homeware, books, and then ebooks and audiobooks, affiliate marketing, digital downloads, and so much more...

Great idea about putting your video on to a podcast. I love listening to podcasts while driving. I will find you when you do this. I love how you do your weekly stats.. you just need that one video to get you there. Keep going as they say. You got this Jo 👏🏼 Ps I voice record my youtube videos and then use the audio cut up in my videos. Like my latest.. I had called it my podcast but took it out in the edit.

Thanks Dora, yes, I'll let you know when it's done. And yes, I'll keep it going - even when I'm in YPP - because I enjoy watching people grow so hopefully viewers of my channel can inspire others to keep going. Just ONE video that will hit home. And then we can all look back on our early videos and laugh/cringe/smile maternally (or paternally!). I do do the videos for the podcast episodes in a slightly different way to the rest of the content in my channel, because so many of my tutorials have visual elements, which of course are fine for KZbin podcasts but would be baffling if you're just listening to the audio only. It's also the perfect place to host interviews, so they will be coming soon. Keep dancing, lovely Dora 💃.

Hey Jo! I just discovered your channel, so new subscriber. :) After looking at your bio, just a suggestion when you're talking about figuring out your niche (just from an outside perspective) - perhaps it's less about "passive income" as a whole, and more about stepping into other income methods at the retirement end of your life when you're starting to have a little more time cos the kids have moved out, but not as much energy as you had when you were 30 to be doing more physical stuff like starting a physical store... Then you could expand to talk about learning later in life, taking on a totally new financial future online when you're retired, leaving the grandkids a financial legacy or helping towards their schooling, etc. There's a lot of us that either have limited time or energy and are looking to do stuff online, but it's a lot to wrap your brain around. I've been doing bits online for years, but there's real nuances to every new thing you take on. And it's so great that KZbin is pushing newer accounts into my homepage! It's a great way to discover more creators at all stages of life! :)

Hi Tracy! Thank you so much and welcome to the channel - and cheers for the brew 🫖😘. Thank you for your suggestion, wow, that could be a whole channel all in itself. I think this is something that may happen in the future, really digging into the different groups of people that passive income can be so beneficial to, as it can be great for people in other groups too, such as students or new graduates whose income is low and want to have something bringing in extra money in the background, or for people who for various reasons are housebound and unable to 'go out' to work. I've made a note and will look into all this further! For now, though, it's fabulous to have you here and I hope you enjoy watching! xx.

Sounds like a good choice of niche 👍. It's probably never been easier to start a KZbin channel, but I think it is quite a hard time as whilst clearly some creators make it in a few weeks, for the majority it either takes a long time or they never get any traction at all. You seem though to have that tenacity to succeed in things and if you stick at it, I'm sure it will all come good. Thanks 😀 👍

@@Kathleensplace71 thanks Kathleen. It’s just the whole semantics of it. The whole “Is passive really passive?” thing, but this old dinosaur has finally given in to the world accepting the whole Almost Passive niche is accepted to be called Passive, and that that kind of fussiness is just silly! 😂 (I blame being a Virgo with the whole ADHD thing going on! I just like things to be precise!) So, having finally accepted passive income is what I do, now it’s just a case of showing the world I know what I’m talking about because I do, because it’s what I’ve been doing in the real world all along!

I have this channel (that I'm commenting from) in which I made guitar videos not realising I would never make any money from. I worked hard at it for 2 years (most of the videos on this channel have now been reverted to private juat for my own viewing, i didn't want to delete them as they were good). I then started another channel about something completely different (more to do with my job) and that's monetised and it took me just 2 months to get it monetised! I learnt a lot from this 1st channel which helped. I (think I) got my head around the algorithms and how to 'work' them. I honestly think you had a video a while back that you should do more of. You were showing buildings in London. With your (posher type😂) accent those types of videos would be pushed further with the right algorithms. Make sure your filename you upload is descriptive of your video. It doesn't even need to be the title you use for the video, and use questions. Examples... The video filename should be something like 'Is this a PALACE fit for a KING. King CHARLES and LONDON. Then when your vid is uploaded change the the first full stop to a '?' or even alter the title totally. 'Did I get to see the King of England? Buildings of London'. Last thing I would do is also have a completely different question on the thumbnail. 'Would YOU like to live HERE?' Just loose examples that I hope you find helpful

@@ALMELMUSIC thank you so much for your lovely full comment. There are some great insights there and some that I will definitely take up. I found out about the file name making a difference a month or so ago and so am doing that one, and I like the idea of making titles a question. To be honest, I started my channel more to share the wonderful world of print on demand and show that it’s never too late to start a business, and the idea of making money from KZbin itself wasn’t on my radar. But the more I learnt the more I realised that the model is so similar, the ‘create now and earn from it on an ongoing basis,’ that it became part of my whole plan and that sharing the journey would be interesting and fun for people to see. I enjoy doing the odd London one, but I’m moving to Spain in a few years so that would have a limited life span. Also sadly having a phone/camera out in some parts of London is just too risky these days. On the other hand, the reason I have the freedom to go to places and do things is because of the various passive income streams I’ve built up, so maybe I could include sharing more of the things I do thanks to the ground work I’ve already put in. I’m enjoying the learning curve and process of building a channel and have already made fabulous friends from all over the world, so even though it’s not all growing as quickly as I expected, I’m already being rewarded by KZbin in ways I never anticipated. @@ALMELMUSIC …and haha to the POSH! I slip in and out of various accents and ways of speaking because I’ve lived in various parts of the UK. Sometimes I sound like Joanna Lumley, sometimes Amanda Holden, and sometimes like a trucker on the M6 who’s just been overtaken by an idiot and is belting out a piece of his mind.. a bit of a melting pot 😂.
