My advice to Indian students willing to go west on a student visa is - If you are a graduate in a particular field then try to get experience/internship in that field first (ideally for a year in India) then go for a higher study in that field. This way you will continue to grow on your academic path and you will have clear visibility of your career path too. I have been in the UK for the last 15 years and have seen most students who just come here for work and enrol on the course which is quite different to the course they have done during their graduation. Even some doesn't know anything about what they are studying such as Data Analytics (because they just want to make an entry in a west country). If you are following the same academic and career path then after your study is completed you can apply for an internship here (within the field of your study) which may give you high hope to get sponsored by that employer. Otherwise in many cases, after the course completion, students get in limbo and in most cases they either go to some other country for another course or go illegal because their visa expiry is about to knock on the door. A part-time job (such as food delivery or in-store) can help you survive on your daily expenses but the real challenges start once your study is completed.

Also when you get your first field job, only stay for 1-2 years max. After that switch every 2-3 years. Otherwise, your pay will get left behind based on experience.

It's all about a good resume and then good interview . It's not too difficult, with the right approach. I rarely applied offline, just online on indeed and company websites. I applied to 50-60 places, got 7 interview calls and 2 final offers, let me know if you need any tips guys
