I am 79 born and we grew up on Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Akshay, Ajay and Sunny Deol in action movies. Sunny Deol was the first with a muscular body. Next came Sanjay Dutt. But these guys had high body fat %...may be due to diet. And gym culture was not prevalent in India in the 90s. Salman brought the toned Gym body with lower body fats. May be still 15%. This was carry forwarded by Sunil Shetty. We took to fitness due to these guys. When we see these guys today, still in shape, feels good to have chosen the right role models. When people talk about Anabolics, they forget that these guys have a muscle memory of almost 30 years now ! Plus we never heard of Gym deaths back in the days. One more thing Rubal Sahab... Jackie was not counted by you probably because he was not with puffed up muscles. But yet, he was fit enough to take off shirts comfortably without looking awkward. Even matching Sanjay Dutt in Khalnayak.
