In Maharashtra their is already reservation for womens like half bus ticket , low fees for girls in private state colleges and more scholarships for women as compared to men. Goverment should do reservation in colleges during admission on the basis of annual income of parents but not on the basis of different caste . Bcs kabhi kabhi ek gareeb general ka bacha apni seat khoo deta hai bcz of high fees and other side ek wealthy sc/st wala bacha km fees mai easily seat mil jati

Tbh agar mummy papa ka salary bhi dekha Jay toh usme bhi problems hai. Agar businesses ke naam par register kiye jaata hai toh they get the reservation. Because businesses revenue is not constant, and this method is often used by students to get reservations for entrance exams even if the person's parent own a rich buisness. Every system has it faults and it's getting harder to fix everything due to the increasing population. Nothing can happen if the people's mind set won't change, even if the government implements changes

First of all, reservation in jobs and education is a completely different topic than reservation is parliament and panchayats. Men are less likely to be aware about or interested in women centric issues compared to women. Same for upper-caste people in regards to lower-caste issues. So, it's just unfair for lawmakers to be mostly men when roughly half the population are women. Same thing for caste based reservations. So, morally speaking, I think reservation is needed if we want our lawmakers to work on gender and caste based issues.

The only women this will benefit is existing neta’s wives, daughters, daughters-in-law, nieces etc. We don’t need more Rabdidevis. There should be consequence if it is deemed they are not acting out of own accord but under influence of the men in their family. The reservations should not be on constituencies but on party and they can field those percentages anywhere across the land. Ideally the reservation should be 33% of every party candidates to be women, who will then have to win on their own merit and may the best man or woman win.

Please correct the mistake at 0:19. The bill proposes reservation in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies (I.e. Vidhan Sabha) not Rajya Sabha). You can also pin this comment

In this country I think so its a sin to be born as general, Hindu and a male After giving Neet, I realized that how reservation is destroying so many lives , students having 300 marks are also getting seats in renowned colleges if they belong to SC/ST and most of them are from very rich houses as i know few of them. The problem is that India is progressing too slow. Reservations were meant to help accelerate development of lower class and backward society to the level of the general population but even after 7 decades there is still a huge gap. If reservation is removed right now the less developed sections of India will return to the stone age.

Special quota will not end in 15 years. just like SC/ST reservation was included in the Govt. of India Act of 1935 and in the Constitution it was for 30 years and even after 73 years it is getting extended and expanded. Reservations are necessary because otherwise we can mostly see males from privileged(upper castes) communities. India's diversity should be seen in all aspects of life- Parliament, police stations, government offices, schools, colleges, *skilled* people needed to selected from - men, women, from sc/st/obc/religious minorities should be represented according to their respective proportions.
