@@CriyoTecThe effort alone, it took to capture those hundreds and hundreds of Photos.. not easy at all. Also, all the processes are not in the Video, errors, deleted/unsused Photos, rendering and everything else, can take days. And if it rains? ..or is Dark? This is complex and timeconsuming, but really good for those who need photorealism or don´t want to/can´t model complex geometries.

2:55 For people who aren't going to use a tripod and are newer to photography, I personally recommend a minimum of 1/125 for your shutter speed no matter what (unless you're going above 60mm). It's the slowest you can really go without having to worry at all about having motion blur from your hands shaking.
@WilliamFaucher
@WilliamFaucher 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not bad advice! Obviously the faster the better for this, but often there’s just not enough light outdoors at 1/125th at f/10 :)
@masonpobst

@@WilliamFaucher Would a camera flash help with that without washing out any details or is it just something you think isn't worth worrying about
@WilliamFaucher
@WilliamFaucher 2 жыл бұрын
@@masonpobst The guys at quixel use flash, but it has to be consistent. I don't think I would flash on a subject as large as the cabin I shot here. Smaller subjects though, flash would be great, just make sure it is cross-polarized.

Generally the rule on full frame is "Focal length x2". IE 100mm lens == at least 1/200, 20mm lens at least 1/40. Having image stabilizing lenses can get you some leeway too
@Chuck_Sexton
@Chuck_Sexton 2 жыл бұрын
@@patrickletourneau8177 I don't know what rule that is lol.. I'm also not trying to be mean or rude in anyway. I do event/corporate photography and yeah you need to shoot higher with a higher shutter speed than you think. You also don't have to stop down to f10. I also have shot a crap ton of real-estate, F8 will get you just as much in focus.

dude... THIS is EXACTLY the kinda tutorial and walkthrough I needed to see! Ive watched a ton of videos on this topic including Pwnisher (super awesome but more in detail about the computer work and working UE) .. many are nicely done but they all sorta skip out on the full details of the actual grunt work.. just grinding at every angle possible but also showing that one does not need to elevate the camera to the height of the subject. No doubt it would be better but there are many cases a monopod or tripod would not be allowed or accepted...Especially the kind needed to get 30ft or higher! thanks!
