My grandma died when my mom was 14, and I was given her name as my middle name. When I was in middle school I had a school presentation where family was invited. My grandpa saw my full name on my project and started crying. Apparently, he didn't know until that day what my middle name was, it was really beautiful.

My daughter’s dad and I gave our daughter his sister’s middle name. She was the same age as me, and we were in homeroom together all during junior high and high school. In July 2001, she was 8 months pregnant, and we were going to be celebrating our 10 year high school reunion at the end of July. She went to bed one night, and didn’t wake up the next morning. Lost her and the baby. After two autopsies, they still have not found a cause of death. No foul play, no drugs in her system. It will 23 years on July 2 that she and her baby, Austin will be gone. Her middle name was Ann, so we gave our daughter his big sister’s middle name. Also, my mother’s middle name is Ann, and so is my sister’s, so we can make them happy too! Our daughter’s name is Lyra Ann.

Love they all have a "y" in their names, tying them together through one single letter. My daughter and SIL are j & k, first L was born, starting a theme, not yet known! Matthew came next and then Nate. The alphabet team J, K, L, M, N. My great gram spelled three letters "words" with her girls, and famous male leaders last names for her boys middle names in our early country's history. Names are so important, to put A LOT thought into them is worth every minute. Also check their initials they don't come up with something like Andrew Samuel Sanders. (Totally fictional!) But kids WILL catch on to ASS! Or BUM Some names are just inappropriate and should be used at your discretion of problems with your child's mental health Also some names are by Federal Laws some names are not intended for use.
