Sasha and Naomi didn’t need to wrestle and lose at the next pay per view. If they were gonna wrestle they should be defending the tag belts. The reason no one in the WWE feels like a star is because the wrestlers take too many unnecessary losses.

They forgot to add Naomi was going to win the match by Naomi pinning Sasha in the 6 pack challenge. Then Naomi goes on to face Bianica in a filler match with no importance in a B PPV just to loose to Bianca. Sasha will get ronda rousey match as a consolation prize and lose to her. That doesn’t strengthen the women’s division at all. They can use other women to fill that role while Naomi and Sasha can can continue to elevate the Tag Team championships separately doing their own thing. I think they wanted to tease a break up or Dissension between them by having Naomi pin Sasha in the 6 pack challenge.

That was completely debunked. Naomi was going to pin NIKKI, not Sasha, and the two were NEVER going to interact the entire match. At the end Sasha would be happy for Naomi. They were then going to resume their story with NIkki and Doudrop after HIAC which is only a couple of weeks away. THey wer not planning in any way to break them up. They simply wanted credible challengers for Bianca and Ronda.

@@chriskay1449 that was not definitively debunked. Other reports came out after it was supposedly debunked saying that it actually was the planned finish. We don’t really know all the details anyways. That being said, that’s a stupid angle to go with, even if one didn’t pin the other in the match. They would have gone on to job for the champions and then go back to being the tag champs as losers (Sasha doesn’t need elevating to main event if it’s just to lose, she’s one of their biggest stars). Meanwhile the tag championships collect dust. We all know WWE doesn’t care about tag teams, but even the mens tag belts get more respect than this (let’s not forget last time this happened with Sasha walking away, where they had to lose the titles then the belts weren’t seen on tv for weeks).

Okay Booker. I’m gonna debate you here and give a theory as to why I think Sasha Banks and Namoi left. (Also, my apologies for the long form essay in the comments, Book, but I like to make sure when I’m talking about stuff like this, I leave no stone unturned, so bare with me.) If we are to be believed, Sasha and Namoi wanted to make the tag titles important because that was the role they were given. They also had no plans for the Women’s tag team champions to defend their titles until Money in the Bank, if we are to be believed. Now, imagine you were promised singles feuds for mania and going forward, only to then be shoved in a Tag Team. You get over, make it work, and then they put you right in a singles program, booked to loose, and then make the championships look less credible than they already are? Imagine if Harlem Heat was to somehow split up, and the tag division was suffering and you only had 3 or 4 teams in the division, and you were then forced to be partners with, idk... Baron Corbin, will throw a name out here... You two make it work, get over, and then are told you will then compete in singles competition then after and not defend the titles for 2 to 3 months. Put your self in Sasha and Naomi’s shoes. Your telling me that wouldn’t bother you if your Tag Division was treated like hers? I don’t think it’s as black and white as everyone is making it out to be in the back. Sasha wanted to better the women’s division and selflessly wanted to bow out of the main event to focus more on the Tag Team division and help teams get over in WWE. In that same vein, she even asked other women who are singles wrestlers to be in that main event spot. So she was actively trying to advocate to other women to take that opportunity. I don’t think it was not going over that was the issue, keep in mind, Namoi and Bianca have been great sports and lost to plenty of people before. Sasha even lost to Ronda at the Royal Rumble in 2019... Women’s match of the year candidate that year from multiple publications... I think Sasha wanted a better division and for the division as a whole to make sense. If your not going to book the Tag Team titles, why even have the titles exist? That’s upsetting to say, but that’s the truth. I think Sasha wanted the tag division to be as much of a priority as the men, and she didn’t get that, and neither did Naomi. Now as far as Naomi goes... She’s been trying to get into the Bloodline for months on end, and kept getting denied or getting the run around, even though her husband advocated for it... Imagine you doing King Booker without Queen Sharmell because you both got the same run around treatment? That’s what she was dealing with, if reports are to be believed. Now I am with you in that, we should wait for Naomi and Sasha Banks to come out with something (if anything at all). However, that said, I think the best way to go about it is take all the information that we do no, speculative or not, and then hold the right to change our opinion when it’s time for us to do so. I think not saying any of the information coming from the other side is not the best way to handle it.

I literally just want to thank you for saying all of this. It’s crazy how I’m seeing so many people attack Sasha Banks for this. Then people acting like Naomi doesn’t exist. I get it people can have their own pains but it’s just so hurtful to see people really bashing them. Especially since these are the same people who’s been having complaining about how the Women division been sucking lately. Then they also be like they want people to speak up but when finally happened they have a problem with it. And people are like they should be happy because they were going to get a title opportunity but that’s not the point. And it’s already bad enough that WWE only use them to get to the Milestone of becoming the first ever black women tag team champions. Just how the situation was handled was weird and it was just so uncomfortable to see WWE force Michael Cole and Corey Graves to say those words. We don’t know the full story we’re only getting what WWE wants us to know.

SASHA wants to make the 'Women's' Tag Team Championship dominant in it's own realm of Tag Team ... but if a team is beaten single-handedly by 1 wrestler, then really, the Tag Team Champions are a joke. This is maybe how SASHA does not want to be seen as. I always believed the night when John Cena single-handedly beat NEXUS all by himself in the ring, that was the moment NEXUS died and it's existence was stupid because 1 guy just beat the crap out of all 6 members in the ring at the one time. That's like seeing The SHIELD run and storm the ring and you have BROCK LESNAR beat their ass ... would we have ever looked at The SHIELD the same way again? Nope. So this is why SASHA needs credibility to the 'Women's' Tag Team Championship. At least that title has merit and is sought after and the Womens Title isn't the only one carrying the division. BOOKER T is way out of touch with reality. He isn't saying what he should because he is still in the WWE.

@@Christinanadia I don’t blame them. Stephanie was the main higher up who pushed for Women’s wrestling to be taken seriously. To get women’s wrestling out of the diva era, or the Evening gown matches era, or the ‘You have to get fake breasts to succeed here’ era. She and Hunter were the main two behind women’s development moving in the right direction through the training center. Actually trying to seek out women who genuinely wanted to be wrestlers and training them properly. They were also responsible for how women were showcased on NXT. Heck, the women’s tag division was taken way more seriously in NXT. Then, HHH gets pushed out. Johnny Ace and Bruce Prichard regain prominence, NXT 2.0 arrives, and we go from an environment where all of the women love HHH, to an environment where more and more are frustrated with the direction of women’s wrestling. Sasha and Naomi finally took a stand, and they are two of Stephanie’s favorites. Stephanie wouldn’t speak up for them if she didn’t genuinely feel they were right. It is no coincidence that she announces a leave of absence less than 72 hours after Banks and Naomi walk out.

I’m mainly a UFC fan been watching that since like 2001. But when Ronda left UFC and went to WWE I got back into it. I really like Sasha and Naomi and I can understand them being frustrated. @@Christinanadia Funny enough, I used to follow Pride FC and stopped following MMA after they left. So, I kind of did the same thing you did with wrestling, but I have a friend who has followed more closely and keep up with it through him a little. So, the run down is that Steph pushed for the women’s Revolution in the WWE. HHH used to be in charge of NXT, and actually set up shop around the world, looking for women who genuinely wanted to be wrestlers. James Laurenitis (Johnny Ace) is one of Vince’s right hands and is one of those guys who, if he had his way, all of the women would be tall blondes, with maybe a few brunettes thrown in, all with big breast implants, likely girl fighting all over the ring. Vince is closer to Johnny Ace than HHH in that regard. Banks and Naomi were two of Stephanie’s favorites, but they were not always favorites of other higher ups. ALL of the women who came through HHH’s NXT, LOVED HHH. Notice how none of them (Bayley, Sasha, Naomi, Lynch, Asuka) have fake tits or over sexualized characters. As opposed to Alexa Bliss, who is someone Vince and Johnny Ace pushed to the moon before the aforementioned talents were put into place. Banks is probably the best all around talent they have in that, no only can she be the top star, but she can also make others look like stars. She has put over Lynch, Belair, Flair, Bayley and Asuka, in the past, clean, with zero issue. She has also given most, if not all of them, their best matches. Even Bliss, who she did have issues with at one point. She is also a big revenue talent for the company. She honestly, in my opinion, gave Ronda her best match of her first title run. The first time Banks walked out was a few years back. They took her and Bayley (Close friends) out of the title picture and told them that they were going to build a tag division and build it around them (NXT had a rather solid women’s tag division when HHH was in charge). They made them the inaugural champs, but then booked them to lose the titles in like, a month or two, to a “prettier” tag team (That, oddly enough, isn’t with the company anymore). Another issue is that, of all the horsewomen (Bayley, Flair, Lynch and Banks), Banks’ title reigns have always been by far the shortest. Banks wanted her release, but Vince talked her into just taking some time off. She came back and things were okay for a while. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. When Ronda left the first time, she actually went on social media and took a shit on wrestling. So, naturally, fans didn’t take kindly to that. The WWE tried to get out of Ronda’a contract, but Ronda’s got an agent we all wished we could have, and her deal is iron clad. They had to keep paying her. Banks and Naomi were both promised major programs, leading into Wrestlemania that just passed. But since they couldn’t get out of Ronda’s deal (They literally pay Ronda over 10m guaranteed, while Sasha only gets paid 250,000 guaranteed, making the vast majority of her money in bonuses, merch and other endeavors), they decided to bring her back and try to get as much out of another run as possible. So, both Banks and Naomi’s promised programs got pushed aside, so that Ronda could feud with Charlotte. All of the top women get along with each other, except Charlotte, who used to be close friends with Lynch, but basically stabbed her in the back. So, naturally, Charlotte requested to work with Ronda. That’s how Banks and Naomi ended up being thrown into the tag division. Which, they actually handled well. Their only request was that they be given a serious program within the division, in order to build it up (Much like NXT’s Women’s tag division). Instead, after winning the titles at Mania, Banks and Naomi have had just as many, if not more singles matches than tag matches and they’ve had zero serious programming. And here’s where it reaches a boiling point. Rousey’s run with Charlotte didn’t go as well as hoped and Belair’s run as Champion hasn’t gone as well as hoped. So, they knew that they needed opponents for them who could help make them look stronger and get a great match out of them. Flair is leaving to get married and take time off, Lynch is taking a small break from the title picture and Asuka was being saved for the bigger PPVs and upcoming stadium shows. Bayley hasn’t returned from injury yet. So, of all the remaining talent (We’re talking dozens of women), they knew that Banks would be the best choice to get a great match out of Rousey. Why? Because she already did it during Rousey’s first title reign, even putting over Rousey clean and genuinely making Rousey look like an unstoppable force. AND, she is the one who put over Belair at the Mania two years ago, which the company mucked up, by having Belair lose in 20 SECONDS, at Summerslam last year, to a returning Lynch. So, not only are they making it clear that they need Sasha, but they are asking her and Naomi to do what Banks already did, AND, they still weren’t going to have plans for the tag division, after the Hell in a Cell show. Meanwhile, Charlotte gets to voice her opinion and get her way because she’s a Flair, even though none of the other women get along with her anymore, and Lynch has a 5 million dollar per year deal (Lynch and Banks do get along to be fair). So, if you’ve followed this, there is an account by the name of Adidas88 or something along those lines, who is friend with Banks and Naomi. They both follow this person on Twitter and he/she has seemingly been given permission to speak on ‘their version’ of events. So, their version is that they were promised the big programs head to Mania, that didn’t happen, they took it on the chin, they were then told they’d be in the tag division, and took that on the chin too. And just wanted them to do something serious with the division. The company had no plans for the tag division, but wanted Naomi to pin Sasha in this six pack challenge, to earn a shot at Belair, while Banks would face Rousey, only for them to both lose clean and STILL have zero plans for the tag division until Money in the Bank. So, they talk about going to one boss and that meeting goes well. That boss asks for the finish of the six pack challenge to be changed. Producers get mad, it’s not changed and they then meet with another boss. In that meeting, one producer walks out screaming and somebody tells them that they (Banks and Naomi), need to fix their attitudes Well, well, well. Less than 72 hours after they walk out, Stephanie takes a leave of absence. So all of the pieces are finally into place. The first boss they went to was very likely Stephanie. Stephanie likely told the producers to change the finish. The producers got pissy and then went to Vince, who stuck with their plan. The day of the show, the Producers inform Banks and Naomi that the finish won’t be changed. They then meet with Vince, and likely some Producers and Johnny Ace (Laurenitis), and are basically told to fix their attitudes. They very likely left earlier than the WWE is letting on. And the company advertised the match anyway, knowing they couldn’t have it, just to put more heat on them. Stephanie is likely irate about this, because Stephanie, no matter what, wouldn’t take their side unless she 1,000% believed that they had a point. And now Stephanie is taking a leave of absence. But if you notice, she didn’t make the announcement through the company and the company didn’t make the announcement. Stephanie made it through her social media. Thus, it has all hit the fan.

I feel like Booker T constantly lacks empathy for women’s wrestling struggles and setbacks like, he compares it too much to his own experience and in some cases it’s not okay to do that specially when he’s in a privileged position, despite being a black man he’s still that, a man in a male-orientated sport, so he and all men will always have that privilege that women can’t relate to at all, because regardless of all of the ‘women’s revolution’ propaganda it’s pretty clear women are not treated the same as men yet, unless the woman’s name is Charlotte Flair lol. There was also some additional stuff that they didn't want to work with some other wrestlers in that 6-man for being too aggressive. My guess is that is in reference to Naomi and Doudrop. Their last match together Doudrop did an Earthquake type of drop on Naomi that looked pretty brutal.

I can only semi agree! The way I see it, is we have to look at it as a whole. How long have Sasha and Naomi been the yes worker, the wrestlers to go out and not complain and put over new talent. Sasha who is arguably the best all around female wrestler in the whole game right now, should have had a memorable run like Roman reigns, like Becky or charlotte and yet she was booked to lose her title nights after having received it. Just recently Sasha took a beating to try to put over shotzi and where did that go? Naomi lost in seconds to Doudrop and where did that go? So I say sometimes its more than just about the show, it’s about your career and fairness. Even actors speak up against a director or two if it doesn’t fit the character and sometime the movie is better for it. The base issue is how WWE treats the women's tag champs. They've been "tolerating" the women's tag belts since the inception, but recently have given no damn about the belts or who holds them. Standing up for those who are champs to come, as well as themselves, is more than a reason to stand up for yourself. Years ago, WWE proved all their doubters right when they stated the "women's evolution would continue." And yet, imo, women's wrestling in WWE has been absolute garbage since, with very few exceptions to that statement. If WWE can't treat their champions like actual champions (and this goes for the IC and US champs too) then just drop the belts rather than string people along because creative is about as useful as a weak fart in a strong breeze.

Sasha Banks and Naomi are RIGHT!! How much are they supposed to continue to take before they say enough is enough? This isn’t only about them feeling that the tag title women’s division is consistently being shafted, despite them being assured that the division was going to be elevated..It’s also about how both Naomi and Sasha are always being looked at as the designated “jobbers” to put over who WWE wants to latch the proverbial rocket to. If you look at folks like Lynch..Belair..Rhonda..and Charlotte, they’re always going to be the top dogs of the WWE women’s division. It is what it is..and this isn’t a slight against any of them..BUT if you look at who is credited with putting all of them over, and giving them their best and most memorable matches ..the common denominator is Sasha Banks…the best female wrestler today who despite this fact..has herself yet to have been given that one epic career defining moment..In regard to Naomi..she has consistently been one of the best talents the WWE has had for several years. Despite this fact..she has been relegated to second tier status..Even when given an intriguing story line like with Sonya Deville..WWE bookers pull the rug out from under her without explanation..She probably woulda been already released had it not been for the fact she’s married into the that is often considered wrestling royalty.

WWE has too many Championships to begin with, so they end up "feeding" some champions to those they really want to push. But that doesn't any good for the losing champions. And they (or Vince) did it too many times. That's why quite some fans say most of those WWE championships are just props. And they don't even have enough TV time to showcase every championship properly. And no, extending the show to more hours doesn't help. Those fans who still watch already fall asleed after the 2nd hour of RAW, if not even before!
