Had no idea that body image was still such a problem for our young girls, I thought we left the idea of zero sized models being the beauty standard in the late 90s.

now more than ever with social media influence on our perception shaping the minds of so many. thank you so much for taking the time to listen and keeping an open mind and heart.

Saying anorexia saved your life was shocking to hear but made me think on it... it definitely challenges conventional thinking about the disease that's for sure

challenging the labels that hold us back and define us and realizing your truth strength is that the only one you need permission from...is yourself...can be the most freeing thought of your entire life.

"Diseases are not meant to kill us they're meant to save us." Don't be thinking you can parrot this to someone without showing that you've lived it.

I had no idea anorexia could be so debilitating... the story about struggling to bring a fork to your mouth was particularly heartbreaking but also gives greater scope to just how poignant a journey you've been on

Thank you. My hope it also demonstrates how far you have ability to prevail and when you set your intention and attention in the direction of strength you have the power to accomplish some insurmountable things. I hope this gets in front of anyone who needs to be reminded that they have strength within them to do amazing strong positive things. appreciate you taking the time to listen with an open mind and heart.

@@MandyDimarzo Wow Mandy! You are an incredible person. I think it does exactly that... we are oblivious to the extent of our greatness untill we call it out. ❤

Oh wow I had no idea anorexia was the number one killer out of mental health diseases. That's really sad.

goes to show how much we avoid talking about it and why we need to bring it out from the shadows to confront the disease head on so it stops killing the ones we love. thanks so much for taking the time to watch my talk. appreciate you!

Man I was wincing just listening to her talk about running with broken bones and torn ligaments... that is incredibly touqh yes but you're not doing your body any favors with that

I find it a bit troubling to hear anorexia described in a positive light, even if the intention is to highlight personal growth. It's a dangerous illness that should be treated with caution and never glorified

I get what she's saying about true strength being in knowing when to rest and mindset etc but like obviously there's different kinds of strength? So she's just talking about mental strength? I don't know I think it's kind of silly to discount physical strength just because you over did it to the point you broke your body
