I am 83 years old and have seen a lot of changes. For that reason I know our country is in a lot trouble and full of evil. I pray for my country, for our pastors, teachers, everyone in a government position and all those who are lost. I thought your prayer in front of congress was spot on and if others took in a negative way then I pray for them also. I pray for you, Pastor Hibbs, because I feel that you are under a lot pressure and heavily weigh down by all that you know. Stay strong because your strength is a comfort to me because most of the time I feel helpless. Amen. The lies we believe about ourselves are hard to overcome - but Our Loving Father cherishes you and cares for you. You are worth healing, wholeness, and being loved. Psalm 18 says He rescued you and brought you to a safe spacious meadow because He delights in you! (picture how lovely that is, with your Heavenly Father!) Psalm 18 is so amazing, because it shows how much God does to rescue His children. He can and will set you free as you seek Him and repent, and make Him Lord of all areas of your life. It has been ten years since I’ve been hospitalized or had any thought or feeling that would put me there. God sets captives free!

I understand what you are going through. I lost my little boy (James) in 1983. He was five. He had ALD. He would be 47 this year. After all this time, the pain is still there. As King David said about his son who died, "You can not come to me, but I will come to you." You will see your son again, never to be separated again. Blessings to you. I will pray for you.

@@mikegonzalez77 I’m so sorry for your loss as well! The pain is heart wrenching some days I feel like I’m going to have a complete mental breakdown and I can’t stop crying. He was 30 he would be 31 today. He leaves behind his 3 children 1 of the children was born in August and never got to meet him I cry over the his babies, he adored them so much. I don’t understand sometimes why God allowed it. My son Jacob died working on a customers truck when one of the jack stands failed and busted, he was crushed. There is a big lawsuit but that won’t bring him back justice for his children and our family and hopefully a recall will result from it as the weight limit was way under. The jack stands were also new. I want so bad for the rapture to happen soon. This world is horrible and evil. My son kept saying it daily that we were in the end times. I know he was a believer, i feel so much guilt for not talking to him more about the lord just before he passed when there were opportunities that I let pass by. He was not married to the mother of his children yet unfortunately so much goes through my mind that I can’t change. I pray that I did enough as a mother guiding his heart. Satan likes and enjoys to get in my ear about this issue. Please pray that God gives me comfort each day to get through this life until I get to be with him and that I am found worthy in Jesus name I pray. God bless you. Please pray for the estranged children who are rebelling against God and destroying their families. I am broken because of this in my own family. Many painful times have been spent confessing my mistakes and failures and after many years, there seems no hope for me. Our daughter has cut us out of her life and her children have followed her lead. I see so much of this and believe it is a spiritual battle. My hope is that God will do whatever it takes to open the eyes of these children and bring them back to reconciliation before it’s too late.

Who was Malchus? He was the servant of the Jewish High Priest Caiaphas who participated in the arrest of Jesus as written in the four gospels. According to the Bible, one of the disciples, Simon Peter, being armed with a sword, cut off the servant's ear in an attempt to prevent the arrest of Jesus. Why was his name specifically mentioned in scripture? He was the servant of the high priest Caiaphus. What is strange, is the meaning of Malchus; its ruler, king, counselor. Why would the high priest allow a servant to have a name that means king, ruler, counselor? This is how God puts nuggets in His word. Caiaphus was the intercessor between God and His people, acting as their representative before God. He was a defender of the Law. Malchus, being a servant of the high priest was a representative of the high priest (the Law). When his ear was cut off, that was symbolic of the law no longer being a means of salvation. Jesus then placed Malchus ear back and healed it. This was a demonstration that Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it by the shedding of blood. Now, back to the meaning of Malchus tells us that the servant was equal to the high priest just as Jesus (the servant) is also the king, ruler, counselor, intercessor, and high priest! God the Son! Early before the Cross Jesus told his apostles to sell the Coats & Clocks and buy Swords ? Why ? For they would be available when needed ! Somewhere along the Line , Peter Found Knives , To cut the Ear off of he Servant Malchus who is the Servant Caiaphs Here is where it get so cool The Old Testament 🦻🗡️ 🩸 Now the NEW TESTAMENT Jesus Put the ear on Jesus went to the CROSS Jesus said I did not come to change the law but to Fulfill it .

Pastor Jack, the reason Congress was upset with your prayer is because your prayer doesn't give the members of Congress any credit for "their accomplishments". Instead, as it should be, you gave /give all credit and glory to God the Father. Non Christian take issue with giving anyone else credit for what they think they have done. In my opinion, God the Father let you clearly see who the enemy was in that room. Because God is the great revealer, shining His light into the darkness. May God bless you and protect you. So, if God knew us and everything we would do and not do throughout our lives, including the sins pror to and after receiving our salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ; then why must we confess our sins over and over? Shouldn't we confess the Lord's forgiveness of our sins rather than approach Him in guilt during prayer over our sins? I agree and JH agrees too😉! He spoke that this book is between God/Isreal but that we can use it as a principle to apply to our lives now. Moses, being the author of Deuteronomy, makes it clear that this book is concerning the covenant of God & Isreal. The theme is obedience brings blessing, while disobedience, brings curse. Also teaches the importance of remembering the past. JH was simply drawing upon the theme of Deuteronomy 28 and applying it to the here and now. We can gleem from these passages and make a correlation to present day America. The big picture, "Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him." (Dr. Charles Stanley) ~God Bless & Maranatha~

How would you apply 1 Samuel 8 these days. Would you call Donald Trump “anointed” by God? I think the only one “anointed” is Jesus the Christ. I very much dislike organized church getting involved in politics. We should be studying the Bible in context. I hate the word “Christian” for even cults call themselves Christian. We are not taught to pray the way you are. Who are we to command God to do anything, to force Gods hand to change this country? Maybe the fall of this country is part of Gods will. Scary that it may be.
