@joshua mitchell - Thank you for this post! Sound like I would have loved your grandmother & she was a very wise woman! It IS very heart breaking to see the Great Falling Away happening daily more & more! The way to life is indeed, quite narrow, and few find it! God Bless & Keep you this day, my Brother in Christ! MARANATHA!

You left out my favourite part about Luke 18. 39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me.

I do not understand why pastors make this stuff so complicated. Jesus is simply stating that He is the gate, the way to eternal life and salvation. How is one saved? Simple!!!! By doing the will of the Father which Jesus conveniently mentions in Matthew 7:21!! The will of the Father is to believe in Jesus for eternal life, PERIOD! John 6:37-40 It’s not this “CONTINUING” “process” of being saved. One is saved the moment they trust in Jesus and the gospel , 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 . I like Pastor Jack, however this is not talking about sanctification but salvation and how to enter into eternal life.
