One huge thing that will make your life easier about training your children, is to remember they are not you. The best a mom can do is to show them how a chore is done and then let them do it. They will resent you if you try to make them like you. It will make them feel like they will never measure up if you try to make them be like you. They are them and you are you.

Thank you! I’m a fairly new subscriber. Your videos have helped so much. The biggest lesson in decluttering for me is to acknowledge an impulse buy or thing I am not using anymore and let it go. I don’t get my money back by keeping it. It just contributes to more stress. The act of donating it also reminds me to be more considerate of my purchasing in the future.

Hi Ali, im not against medication. As a matter of fact, i used to have meds for every little thing. However, as i got older and realized meds are just a bandage to the root of the problem. I seek podcasts of Drs who use alternative medicine to treat their patients ailments. As a general rule, this are the core ingredients to a better health. Our body is made up of 98% water. If we are dehydrated our body begins to act up. Did you know thst most of our mental issues are due to our brain not being hydrated enough? It blew my mind. A game changer for me. So, here are the ingredients our body needs. Water, sun, enough adecuate sleep, meditation. Meditating on God and His Word is the very best meditation ever., a well balanced diet. I stick mostly to Mediteranean diet. Stay away from sugar. It creates inflamation leading to pain. Other diets may be also good but I stick to the one that suits me. Last but not least a walk after dinner. Exercise is excellent, but if not able at least a good daily walk is good. I no longer take any meds and feel good for the most part. Of course, when the body was built in the wrong foundation, lack of the above, consequences happen and the journey begins. Sooner than later i will be completely healed. God has giving us everything we just need to use it to our advantage.

Just found you. You don’t ramble. You explain what you are doing and why helps us in our decision-making process. I love decluttering videos. I’m subscribing. I don’t use wash clothes either. Don’t feel guilty! Hanging onto things isn’t going to improve anything. As I am currently decluttering and reorganizing my house, I have donated a trunk and back seat full of things I don’t use anymore to Goodwill and 2 trunks full to our local Hospice resale shop. It takes the sting out knowing they will be put to better use than taking up space on the garage shelves. As for me, clutter is extremely stressful for me. I am including visual clutter. I hate to have to search for anything and I have learned that if you have a place for everything you are much more likely to put things where they belong. Repetition will make it a good habit in little time. You are just like millions of us, including me! Today, I put the oven on to preheat. That would take about 5 minutes. Instead of sitting down until it was ready, I went over to the dog corner and reorganized the drawer for their meds, leashes, etc. and it looked wonderful! And I felt great. ❤ Shirley

@@laurenmeyer42257 Yeah, we could do that, but I think people would put them in the garage instead of taking them out to the can. Lol.

I will preface this advice with the following: If it can be shattered, exploded, and/or completely destroyed in the kitchen, I have a merit badge. I learn best by doing and am on a mission to help others learn from their mistakes before they make them themselves. I have not read all the comments, and perhaps this has already been addressed. During the stovetop clean portion, please research two key products: Bar Keepers Friend Multipurpose Cooktop Cleaner and Scotch-Brite Scratch Free Glass Cooktop Pads (they are purple). These products can be used independently or together, gently. The BKF powder you are using is abrasive, and the flat blade you are using can easily damage the surface. I say this with the history of cracking one stove top and completely removing the circle rings from another. Expensive lessons. The key is to apply the BKF Cooktop Cleaner and allow it to marinade for several minutes on a cooled-down surface, of course. I have learned that if I wipe down the stove after use on a regular basis, the Scotch-Brite Pad works wonderfully and without any added cleaning solution. Simply water. Tips from a person who learns the hard way.

You should take one of the shelves in closet to Home Depot, have it cut & measured to the same length, for extra space.

Hi Ali, PLASTIC DRAWERS CONTAINER is the BEST AND FASTEST way to store medication (if you don't have to worry about little kids or put the plastic drawers high). Just pull the plastic drawer open take out what you want and close. NO LIDS AND NO PULLING THE CONTAINER OUT OF THE CUPBOARDS.

I’m a new subscriber. I think I heard you live in Utah County? If so and if you end up getting rid of those pasta bowls, I’d love to take them off your hands 😊

Wow, the more you talk, the more we have in common. When it comes to compulsion buying, I came to the hard realization of seeing how many thousands and thousands of dollars I literally have thrown away. Im ashamed to admit it but its the truth. Once I came to that painful conclusion. I decided not to throw away money. Instead, I internet shop. How? I go through the websites that may have the items I "need" or want and put them in my cart. I close the site and revisit it a month or 2 after. If I still need it, i buy it. Or go to the store for it. By then, I usually delete the item or the store already deleted it. That is how i deal with compulsive shopping. Another way, i just purposedly stay away from all the stores. Just limit myself to make a list of what i need and stick to it.

As far as the carpet cleaner with a broken latch, just contact the manufacturer and see if you can get it repaired or get a replacement part. That's way better than getting rid of it and then having to spent a bunch on a new one.
