We have more than enough of it on tele. Nicki had tacky tastes. The only problem with a wedding about history is cost. Only the rich can afford it. So called modern weddings are cheap and if costly still tacky. Is wedding in a manor modern?

I love History so I get him. However, he really should have done a few signature things that he knew she would love. Pink flowers would have looked lovely in the hall and on the bridesmaids .Pink ribbons on the cake. How about instead of a Venice tour, he sent her to dancing lessons, so she would have been able to keep up with him instead of feeling a waltz fool? Anyway at least she knows what she is getting. I was very surprised and disappointed that he ignored that opportunity to be accurate and also make her happy! A little pink would have gone a long, long way and maybe some crystal (doesn't have to be Waterford) since she likes bling, plus it is pomp and historic like him. He could've borrowed some from friends and family.

Agreed, love that he went super classy but there was literally nothing of her in the wedding he planned. The pink roses would have time appropriate and given something girly for her to enjoy versus history overload. On the waltz lessons that may have tipped her hand on the planning, but if he had sent her for dance lessons with the waltz being one of them, it would have been fun and not being unable to properly do the dance. Glad she liked it anyhow. Wish them luck.

Not once did I hear him say, what would she love for her wedding. I heard from him it's fine, this is what I want, it's my wedding, this is the wedding she deserves, I want her to look classy. I didnt hear any compromise on anything that the bride wanted, not the location, the dress or even the flowers. I dont particularly care for her taste, however there could have been compromises that included her. Pink flowers with dominate in them. Think about a dress that she would want. Perhaps, some kind of pink on the cake. Just something that included who she is. Hmmmm?

That happens so much on this show! I wonder how much influence is happening behind the scenes to keep telling them, “It’s your wedding! Use this opportunity to show you who you are!” or “If it’s important to you, she’ll love it!” It’s also so easy to make a decision and let it start taking over when you have so little time and zero contact with your partner. I’ll bet that a lot of the guys who do this are just really glad that they got all of the basics done at all.

My wedding turned out nothing like I planned or expected it to turn out either because my in laws, husband, Dad, Hawaiian friends and pastor ended up taking the reigns after our first wedding, in a local church, planned by me was cancelled. We had a month to replan and time was running out on a visa. But at the end of the day, you get married, have great memories and just learn to go with the flow.

I'll be honest, I was impressed with the groom's ability to have a family friendly tea party, until he caved to the bride's brothers' pressure, including his own brother's pressure to act like a fool and booze it up and give in to their visceral urges and objectify women. Sadly, the groom; including brother of the bride and brother of the groom have no respect for the bride, nor women in general. Guy like that aren't worth ever saying yes too, nor ever getting involved with, because they will always cheat and can never be trusted.
