OK, so we know why you bought a new airplane, we know how fast it is, and we know how loud it is. But it’s time to start answering the REAL questions: how many potato chips would fit in the interior if you filled it to the top??

No lies here! Without those headsets, it is pretty loud in the cockpit.

Whoa, message received 😮 That's fairly louder than I thought. Thanks for posting this. I would have never known.

Honestly it's impressive how much the headsets reduce the noise. Sorry for calling you out. Your comment just gave me an idea for a video and I appreciate that.

@1dullgeek No, I'm glad you did. This is the reality I'm here for. I'm amazed how loud it really is. It's a beautiful sight, though.

The DC OneX is the cheapest out of the lightspeed and bose noise canceling headsets, and I actually prefer them. to the Bose. they wear a lot better after 12hrs of flying and don't hurt your head as much.
@1dullgeek11 ай бұрын
Hmm. I haven't tried those. Maybe they should be on my list to try.

@1dullgeek I fly a bonanza with them, and I can listen to music, podcasts, pretty much anything I want and have no issues. Love my set their customer service is always extremely helpful

@1dullgeek they make a great product. I own 3 sets of the style you have and 1 pair of the One Xs. I've got a Bose A20 for military since I can't have Bluetooth with my job

Oh wow, i never realized how much louder the 235s sounds compared to the Arrow II im used to (Never flown it with headsets). My Light Sport however, sounds awful without them unless i have my power cut to O%

This is just a simulation based on my experience.

Love my Lightspeed Delta Zulu’s, the hearing equalizer and the carbon monoxide detector are well worth the $$$$. Not only that, you can trade your headset in for a discount.
@1dullgeekАй бұрын
@@thomasard4977 yeah I have the dz's now. And after doing a comparison back to back with my old David Clark passive headphones I couldn't believe how much quieter the DZs were. I have become a full on ANR fan now. I also did the same comparison with my friends Bose A20s and found i preferred the comfort of the DZs.

Great airplanes I fly a 235 pathfinder 1974 model with the 250 Hp engine.The 235 is a true 4 seater enjoy your plane video ✈️

Oh nice! Yeah there's a few of us with 235's on youtube. With the 250 HP upgrade what do you get for TAS at say 8000? Are you able to get the mogas STC with the higher compression cylinders?
@christojordaan50182 ай бұрын
@@1dullgeek 130 knots have mogas stickers on the wings but use avgas because don't trust the mogas here in South Africa.I getting the 130 knots at 20 in manifold pressure 👌👍

@@christojordaan5018 Nice! I have a fixed pitch prop so I don't have a MP gauge. But I fly at 65% power and get about 130 kts TAS at 8000 also. And I *LOVE* the mogas option. Reduces the operating costs to about that of a Cherokee 180 but flies faster & carries a lot more.
@jeremydwayne11 ай бұрын
They may be more expensive, but man they are worth the investment for active noise reduction and lighter clamping force! And you can probably pick up some lightly used A20's for around $700 these days.
@1dullgeek11 ай бұрын
As I said, I've tried them. To me the benefit they provide isn't worth the price. If I were to rank them from quietest to noisest: 1. ANR Headset w/ANR on 2. David Clarks PNR 3. ANR Headset w/ANR off And the difference between 1 & 2 is not nearly as big as the difference between 1 & 3. I did not evaluate them for clamping force. But I'm not bothered by the DCs in that area. Although my wife very much is.
@atis560711 ай бұрын
Personally, i wouldn't use ANR. I much rather listen to the engine and notice any abnormalities with the David Clark PNR (most comfortable headset i ever worn, and i have used A20s before).
@jeremydwayne11 ай бұрын
I've had engine trouble before and an emergency landing and could hear changes in engine noise just fine. I can also notice small differences in RPM for normal flight to get power settings roughly where I want then verify with the gauges. ANR doesn't cut out everything. If you like your DC's that's great! Its a good brand.@@atis5607

I’m sure there were trumpets in this one, but I couldn’t hear them over the engine!

The only twins I've been in are airlines. I will be going for my multiengine rating next so we'll see. My guess is that the engines being in the wings may actually make it a little quieter. But I'm going to get to find out.
