This video is a sound comparison between Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 and Wharfedale D320 with Cambridge Audio AXA35.
I already made comparison video these two sets of speakers with Cambridge CXA81 and AXA25.
I will post one more comparison video with NAD C316bee V2 amplifier.

The 12.1 has a slight advantage over the 320 in bass and openess. Just more body. Im not a fan of metal but metal can show you how a speaker would handle more complex songs. Check out 13:36 and wait for the transition. Just so much more body and gusto.

Both sound great. I prefer the Diamonds 12.2 especially with this amp. AXA35 is one of my favourites. I am sure it will be a future classic much like the NAD 3020.

Thanks for another great video! The bass is deeper on the 12.1, but the midrange no longer sounds as recessed as it has with some other amps. They're so close that sometimes I think the mids might be a little more laid back, natural, and less edgy than the 320, and the treble may be a little smoother too, but it's so close that at other times I think it may just be my imagination. Either way, it still reinforces what a great deal the 320 is at $249. And, I think I like the AXA35 more than the 25 or the NAD 316. It seems to have better balance and dynamics all the way around, and really brings out the best in these speakers, especially the 12.1.

The 35 is smoother overall BUT the 25 is better at low volume listening.

This amp absolutely makes a difference. I think it's noticably cleaner and a touch less mid-centric than the AXA25. I think it works pretty well with the 12.1's giving them something close to a balanced presentation. It may be a triffle warm for the D320"s, but they have sounded consitantly warmer and fuller in the mids and less open and airy in the top end than the Diamonds anyway. I think the AXA35 somehow minimizes the differences a bit for some reason.

Feel the need to add, I believe this amp is cleaner and more neutral sounding than the NAD 316BEE as well.

I noticed recently that the small blocks that you now place the speakers on are much shorter. What happened to the taller metal stands, like in the video comparing the RP600M and Q350? I think you need to return to using those. Getting the speakers up higher off the table will clean up the bass and midrange and minimize reflections off the table top.

Yes, I did it. I bought it somewhere that not in U.S. I have an idea that making comparison video of some speaker stand among what I have before I return to Fluid Audio Speaker Stand (the higher one that you mentioned), thanks for great suggestion!

E Project, please do a comparison of the AXA25, AXA35 and C316BEE V2 with the 12.2, preferably blind. Im torn between these 3 amps right now as they are very popular budget amps. Also wonder how these compare to amps like the SMSL DA-9 or Aiyima A07...

I suggested the AXR85 too, since you said you like high levels, and it's 85 watts at only $400, so is very competitive to the other three. I like my class D amp A LOT! It's very clear, detailed, and balanced, (my Diamond 9.1s have never sounded as good with any other amp) but they usually don't achieve the power ratings they specify. Mine has a 19V power supply at 4A, which means it could only achieve 76W (38W/channel) at 100% efficiency, which is impossible, of course. It's spec'd at 100W/channel, but I estimate that it's probably really 20W/channel. That being said, I've never had it above halfway on the volume dial, even with my low sensitivity 85db speakers

Get the 35, it's better than the NAD and also $100 bucks cheaper, not to mention the Cambridge has a 3 year warranty.
