Truth. I think that as blacks we're disconnected from each other really. We seek love in all the wrong places bc many of us turn to parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, godparents, friends, neighbors, affiliates from church, work etc only to feel alone. Many blacks feel alone and this is why many of us join cults, whether its a sorority, Scientology, gangs. We all long to belong in all the wrong places in most cases. Not justifying, just shedding light that its imperative that we take care of our children or the world will captivate their minds and once they have access to that, nothing else matters bc they understand and have mastered deep manipuation of conditioning the mind and mislead. If Mothers held their daughters and listened to them when they spoke or fathers, stayed home from time to time, raised their sons, and observed, they'll learn that their child is just seeking unconditional love and to feel like they have guidance and protection. Most of our kids in the community do not have the protection. Far too many abuses occur with our kids due to neglect and that is a huge epidemic. Raising kids doesn't end at 18 years old. As long as youre a parent, you have obligations and should always be learning so you can instill knowledge and wisdom into your children regardless of age. We are always students who should be open to absorbing and expanding. We are just so disconnected and not as codified or close to one another which is why young ladies like this and so many young boys grow up hopeless, lost and desperate. Anyhow. We've got a long long long way to go, yet, all that we do is exploit and hurt one another, record and broadcast it for the world to watch.

Velvet keeps saying escape. She was free to go on her will everytime. She wanted to get married because she thouht that meant he would be all hers. She had left plenty times and came back. And no, I'm not taking up for NB because he's wrong as 2 left shoes but she's lyin.😆🙄

Bullshit, it was never easy for any of the women to go. He would give them a hard time behind the scenes and would have these super long meetings trying to convince them to stay. Natureboy felt he owned every single person in that cult. He was notorious for giving them hell when they wanted to escape. It was even more difficult for her because she had Eliana. Natureboy had a very unhealthy obsession with his child. He even referred to that child being his future wife and joked about feeding the baby his sperm. I don’t like Velvet and she was lying about somethings but that she wasn’t. She couldn’t just walk away whenever she wanted.
