On the orange crate labels, these are probably labels which were printed but not used. I have 4 that I purchased in California in the early 70s. I have them framed in a wall display. Love the colors in them. What a great sale!

The quilt was both beautiful and historical with the vintage fabrics. Just a note: a handmade quilt made from that time would either be a twin bed size or full/double size. There weren't any queen size beds at that time. I understand that we all purchase what speaks to us and what our interests are. The value was well over $35. You did get some really interesting things.

So many nice things, but the prices-e-yow!!! Was a bit sad when you didn't get the quilt-l could've fixed it with vintage fabric, but $50? Pretty borderline. The cinnabar thing is a snuff bottle. Watch out! So much cinnabar is fake, molded plastic. Thanks, Jeffery. Love seeing you so happy, don't get too tired, and pats for Stella! ❤️
@nicolasrossi5978 Жыл бұрын
The fruit crate labels are likely genuine. They grossly overproduced them every season to ensure there were enough should they have a larger than expected crop. Never glued to a crate, and likely sat in a wharehouse somewhere till sold on secondary market years later so appear near perfect..

Hi Jeffrey! Glad to see you back in the Villages. I love it there. My BFF lives in Fenney. I love estate sales but no longer attend them due to poor balance so I live vicariously through you! Besides I'm no longer in the acquisition stage it's now time to purge. I am so enjoying your FL videos. I'm about an hour or so from Ocala. I moved to FL 44 years ago with my then husband and almost 3 yr old daughter. No more snow. I hope you continue to love it here and love your new life.

Omg I love estate sales. I am having withdrawals because that is our date day, going to estate sales. My husband had high risk knee replacement so not going out much except for therapy. The prices were great. We are looking for silver plate forks in the smaller tines. $37 for a whole set…crazy price. I looked on the replacement sight and they were that much for one fork. I am envious. Our whole house inside is thrifted.

One of the first things I bought when I moved to Florida was the weather radio. I bought it at an estate sale for $1. And when it wouldn’t tune in- the company sent me a new one. With Florida’s wacky weather, I highly recommend getting one. I saw one in this video so keep an eye out!😊

I’ve lived in Florida for more than 30 years and never heard someone didn’t want or buy quilts because it’s Fl???? Folks still get cold. Or use quilts for decor! I usually keep lots of blankets on hand for those weird cold snaps and the power goes out!!! No heat with cold is no bueno! Love the shop along format!! I’m in northern Fl and never see real estate sales. It’s usually a yard sale and they just call it an estate sale!! 🤦🏻♀️

Hi Jeffrey, I’m a quilter and I would of picked up the Willy. Only because I’d be afraid that someone would pick it up. But I go usually the day or two after then at least over in Vegas. The 1st day is firm, 50% of and third 75%. But your in Florida and you would be the person who knows best over there the quilting. The ladies and men would watch for the Sunday paper. There would be a quilting block in there. At least that’s what my grandma told me. I think it’s pretty neat to know. But I love the stuff that you bought. Sonia

Quilts are great for Florida, I only use them or woven cotton bedspreads/coverlets. Right now I have a white coverlet with a white quilt featuring tiny embroidered flamingos folded at the foot of the bed. Comforters are too big & bulky & hard to wash, not to mention expensive.

Good sale. I have to say that the move to Florida appears to have been the perfect choice for the business of reselling; the sales, merchandise for sale and quality have been almost exponentially more plentiful. When elders move they only take the "good stuff" that matters to them and the fact of life is it's known as the senior state so inventory is available on the regular. I really hope I've worded this in a respectful way. Thanks for the tag along. Btw your bag situation seems to equate to the cart/basket situation at Goodwill or antique malls... need can be under estimated until it's too late. Ikea bags come in a few sizes and cloth extras in the bottom help cushion; navigating those crowded doorways must make for some merchandise casualties. You're a seasoned pro but the small bags make me (the viewer) think regrets or damage will happen. 😄

THE VILLAGES - Hi Jeffery, you do such a great job with your channels and I love that you go the the estate sales in The Villages. And I just happen to LIVE THERE ! Hey Neighbor in Ocala ! So could you please give good recommendations about the estate businesses that do those sales .... in terms of good advertising, good pricing to sell better, organizing/setting things up and running the sale ? I am retired and getting up in age so I would like to be able to pass on to my kids about who to hire "when my time comes" (BUT I have a lot of living to do before that happens !) LOL !!! SO could you please take a picture of the estate sale sign and also rate each estate company with a number at the end of each of your estate sale videos ??? That would be so great ! And I think that other "Villagers" would appreciate that too !

. The striped bath towels look new. I love the vintage dish towels and aprons I. bet those quits are hand stitched, which which would be worth the price,even if machine stitched. People who live in the South use quilts as summer throws,because some times the nights require a blanket and those little smaller lightweight guilty make nice throws. So did you move to Florida?
