Hiking Bohemian Paradise - Czech Republic Travel Vlog

Valery has finally decided she needs a break from the city. It's time to explore one of the Czech Republic's most beautiful national parks: Bohemian Paradise.
To reach Prachovské Skály in Bohemian Paradise, you can take a train from Prague's Main Train Station (Praha Hlavní Nádraží) to Jičín. From Jičín's city center, you can either take a bus or walk, following the red tourist trail. The walk is about 7 kilometres. Make sure to bring enough water, wear good walking shoes, and carry cash! There are many many more natural beauties in CZ to discover besides the cities. Just to mention a few like Adršpach (also used in Narnia scenes), Krkonoše, Šumava.

Hrubá Skála is accessible on a wheelchair and you can look at the rocks from the ramparts. There's a restaurant and a hotel and a spa.

Went there because of this video today. Gotta say it was quite a journey taking the train from prague to Jicin, then taking a bus and walking to the site. Then going through the various places there got me tired a bit(walked some 7km). Then going back to Prague.. Damn finally I'm in my Airbnb apartment 😊 Thank you Valerie for the idea 😊

I should stop watching these videos! They depress me in the knowledge of what I missed in my travelling days on my 1 and only too brief visit to the Czech Republic quite a while back. 😢😉 I've hiked in the Sachsen Switzerland along the Elbe just downstream of the Czech border a couple of times but this also would have been even more appealing in my younger, more mobile days. Lovely to enjoy it from my rocking chair now - especially with such exuberant youthful company. 😊

How do i get in Bohemian Paradise from Prague center by bus or train

You can take train to Jicin and walk (about 6 km to get there, go to the main square of Jicin, they have tourist info center and will help you there) or you can take bus from Jicin (which goes only couple times a day, so plan carefully). That’s to get to the place we show in this video, Bohemian Paradise is very large, there are other places you can visit there as well, for example if you start your exploration in Turnov.
