Storyline for this season, Dodge plans on joining Winston Cup in 2001, so they essentially use you as their gineau pig for 2000. Just to explain why you're the only Dodge in the field. Your KMart car by the way is absolutely awesome

Yes, that's what I'm talking about! Happy to see you're doing this. 1:33 Sledge and I were actually talking about this earlier, and this was actually proposed as one of the updates for v. 1.20 of this mod, which will hopefully be out either today or Tuesday. It's actually surprisingly easy to change in the DB file. Although, I proposed changing the slider to maximum mistakes and wreck frequency instead of medium, lol. It unfortunately won't take effect for this career mode, though, since once you create a save file, everything is basically "locked in" for that save, and updates will not have any effect. That's why I recommend making sure you're not running version 1.0 of this mod, as that version has a pretty major error towards the end of a full-season schedule. Although, since you have the accurate team names, it looks like you've already updated the mod, so that's good. You will get to see some updated package sponsorships once you get later in career mode, at least. Basically every full-time Cup car, and most of the part-timers, are potentially available as package sponsorships (though which ones you actually are offered will depend on your prestige and the game's RNG).

I should’ve known you were gonna give this a shot considering I was one of those people who was in the crowd of *Start the Career Mode Over again* to differentiate it from the original Thunder 03 Career Mode LP from a long time ago which was also fun to binge watch! @@ParadiseCity1329 Dodge had 10 teams in 2001. Evernham(2), Petty (3), Bill Davis (2), Ganassi (2), Melling (1). I am fairly sure the teams were already in place by Febuary 2000. I know for a fact they were because because on-track testing started with a dedicated test team in 1999. It was made up of personnel from all the teams involved.

after you start career if you go to settings on the menu before you start the race where it shows race team management ect.. you can adjust the AI sliders to increase wreck frequency and mistakes. but after you do the first race the settings are locked and cant be adjusted.

Happy for the change, change is good and as you said and you already did 2003, I like the roster change especially since you pointed out a very good fact that the roster from 2000 to 2003 changed quite a bit compared to any other three span year in the modern era. For those who are too young and think this was Nascar Thunder 2000. It is NOT. The graphics are from Nascar Thunder 2003 with the cars from 2000 modified into the game along with the Nascar Thunder logo. The Nascar game in 2000 had Tony Stewart's Home Depot car on the cover and was just call Nascar 2000 (I know because I had both games and played them religiously). Nascar 2000 also didn't have all the drivers and only had an 18 car field. I think the game only had about 30 of the 43 or so drivers that competed. I know the 93 wasn't in the game and so wasn't the 77. With that said, I'm not "hating" on the modification. I actually think it's pretty damn cool, wish this was done 20 years ago. I'm curious how does someone Modify a game like this? Crazy what people can do nowadays. It's too bad all the modern Nascar game developers are incompetent and can't see that we need a realistic and dynamic career mode in these games. Where not every season is the same and there's a lot of customization. Not just to cars but to tracks, the year to year schedules, sponsor changes, actual retirements, modification to the points system, etc.
