Russia's first mobilization since WWII has sparked protests and led to the mass exodus of men avoiding the draft. However, the country's recruiting campaign is far from failure as enlistment centers work around the clock to call up some 300,000 reservists needed to beef up Russia's forces in Ukraine. I visited a draft office in Moscow and spoke with young guys who decided to stay and join Russia's war effort

@Yvonne Bowe What does that have to do with my comment? Here in the US we do not get the level of reporting from inside Russia that was presented in this video. We mostly get just what the major media want us to see. As for conscription in the US, every male over age 18 is required by Federal law to be registered for Selective Service (the 'Draft'), and during a major war, Congress could easily re-start conscription. But that has little to do with what I said in my comment.

This are actually rich Russians (Moskwa region), used to counter strike warfare, and have to sit now for 4 months in trenches, that get wet in the daytime and frosty in night time. I am a Norwegian and 58 years old, so i am not exactly the best soldier for Russia to use. But if there was a easy way for me to move to Russia and do work in some of their factories that suffer from lack of manpower because of the mobilization and i could be sure to have a place to stay when i was there, i would do so. As i see it Russia and China is the only sensible great powers that is left now, the true axis of evil(USA, England and France) have gone completely insane in so many ways now. EU actually just proposed a new law where it shall be forbidden to not hate Russia (or to be pro Russian as they put it...) But i will be pro Russia even if they send me to prison for it. I hope the best for every single Russian that now fight against the American attack in Ukraine. Most of us know about the history of The Cuba Crisis and how the US reacted to that. Since that US have created their own version of The Cuba Crisis again and again. The Cuba Crisis 02 with Norway in to NATO.. The Cuba Crisis 03 with Estonia The Cuba Crisis 04 with Latvia The Cuba Crisis 05 with Lithuania The Cuba Crisis 06 with Finland The Cuba Crisis 07 with Sweden The Cuba Crisis 08 with Ukraine and so on. Ukrainians cannot be compared with Afghans or Muslims. Ukraine is the second most powerful country in the USSR (the same USSR that controlled half of the planet). Ukrainians are 18% of the USSR. Считают предателями тех, кто не пошел убивать других людей и поуезжали кто куда, наверно сами не до конца понимают, а кто же они в этой ситуации, идя в другую страну защищать свою, «Как дед в ВОВ» и разницы не видя. А если бы дед узнал, похвалил бы? Вопрос риторический. Мы с детства празднуем 9 мая, только для кого-то это был день победы, который они «могли повторить», а для кого-то победы над войной.
